Isla dresses in some light colored skinny jeans, a long sleeved yellow shirt with white polka dots all over it, her signature winter brown boots for the winter months, a black parka, and her cross necklace she got from one of the kids in the mental hospital. Her roommate, Hanna. She was suicidal and the thoughts she had...
The day before Hanna graduated out of the hospital, she gave Isla a cross. She said it had helped her. Though Hanna believed Isla could read minds. The blonde had proved it plenty of times to Hanna.
Isla brings Ronny over Charlie's, and the dog runs around with him in the yard, parking happily. Isla thanks Charlie a five times before she gets to her car in her own driveway. She owns a 2003 Dodge Stratus. Anne bought it for her for her seventeenth birthday in 2003.

Jasper tenses when the smell hits him again as a dodge stratus pulls into the school parking lot. He follow the car with darkened eyes and he watches as she gets out.
                         "Jas?" Alice coos.
Jasper stares at Isla as she pushes her hair back. "I..."
"You gonna make it?" Emmett asks in a serious matter, he doesn't even look at the girl, Jasper shakes his head in denial. "All right. Let's go."
Edward looks across the lot and he sees Isla freaking out. She is looking at everyone with wild eyes and then he hears it. Every single thought of every single person in this parking lot in her head.
"Excuse me," he says to his family and jogs over to Isla. "Hey, come with me. It's okay."
Isla looks at him with wide eyes. "You know what's wrong with me?"
Edward smiles down at her. "I do. Come, we can't talk out here in the open where anyone can hear." He glances over his shoulder at Alice and Rosalie. "Let's head in."
                        "I'm Isla," she introduces.
                        "Edward."
Edward walks Isla into the school and into a secluded area.
"Now focus... on me." Edward snaps his fingers and Isla's frantic eyes meet his calm bronze ones. "There, breathe."
"Why aren't ou treating me like I'm crazy?" Isla asks as her erratic heartbeat slowly eases. "I'm crazy, I read..."
"Minds?" Edward cuts her off with a small smile. "I can, too."
"What!?" Isla gasps. "I'm not... I'm not..." she frowns. "I'm not the only telepath?"
Edward smiles. "No, you're not. And Isla, you're not crazy. Don't you ever think that, okay? You're just... special."
"That doesn't make me feel any better, Edward," Isla says but she smiles a little. "I'm just relieved I'm not alone."
"Now that we've got that out of the way," Edward muses, "what grade are you in?"
"Twelfth, I'm a senior," Isla replies. "Where's the maths hallway? I have calculus...."
"Come with me," Edward says. "And just don't focus on everyone. Focus on me. I'm in there for Trig and calc."
"What do you mean?" Isla asks as she runs to catch up with Edward after he walks away. "How do I do that?"
Edward chuckles and he explains telepathy to her, and some ways to help control it.

Edward looks around the lunchroom when that time comes and he doesn't see Isla. He sighs and he grabs a tray and gets food to keep up an image before going to the table with Rosalie and Alice, Emmett has returned.
"Why have you been talking to the human?" Rosalie asks with a hint of attitude.
"She's not a normal human, Rose," Edward says.
"What do you mean?" Emmett asks and suddenly he gets a teasing grin. "She's not a normal girl, huh? What, is she a puppet? A robot? Zombie?"
Edward rolls his eyes. "She's a telepath, like me."
Emmett's eyes bug out of his head. "What!?" He booms and he smiles, growing serious. "You've been helping helping her control it."
"I only know her first name and why she was in Seattle," Edward claims and Alice lights up. "Her name is Isla ( ICE - LA). According to her, when she was thirteen, she told her mom she could read minds and her mom sent her to the state mental hospital instead of allowing her to get control over the ability." He looks at Alice as she thinks something. "Her dog's name is Ronny and yes, he's neutered and house broke."
"Why are you telling us about Isla's ability?" Emmett asks. "I'm sure she'd want it kept secret."
"I told her to focus on me until I can help her control all the thoughts," Edward says. "We need to watch what we think."
"She's a human telepath and was locked away for it?" Alice whispers. "Oh, poor thing! We need to tell Jasper."
"Later," Edward says and he looks around. "Did anyone see her come in?"
"I don't know what she looks like," Emmett replies. "I was too focused on Jasper this morning to notice. Is she hot.. ow!" He flares at Rosalie. "What the heck? I love you, but I was only wondering. Quit being abusive, babe."
'She's beautiful," Alice replies. "Absolutely beautiful. Cullen family worthy."
"I wouldn't go that far," Rosalie mutters.
Edward rolls his eyes and stands. "I'm gonna go look for her. She's probably hiding from the thoughts. Emmett, Wanna come?"
Without thinking, Emmett is up and following Edward our of the cafeteria. They find Isla in the library.
I can't do this, she thinks. I can't do this. I'm crazy. I can't...
"What did I tell you?" Edward asks as he and Emmett sit with her. "You're not crazy, Isla."
"Who's he?' Isla asks as she points out Emmett. "Does he...?"
"Focus in on him," Edward instructs. "It's okay."
Isla looks at Emmett and furrows her eyebrows in concentration. She's hot! Damn it. Isla smirks. "Thank you."
"What?" Emmett asks but he then chuckles. "Nevermind. You're welcome."
"Why aren't you in the cafeteria?" Edward asks curiosly.
Isla frowns. "Too many thoughts at once. It'll send me into a panic attack. It happened on my first night in Seattle at supper time."
"Got it."

"A human telepath?" Carlisle asks out loud after his kids tell him about his son's blood singer "Are you sure?"
Emmett smirks. "Positive. She read mine."
"God, you didn't scar her mind, did you?" Esme asks scoldingly. "Or scared her off?!
"I think he built her ego," Edward replies with a grin. "She keeps calling herself crazy, though." He looks at them. "We need Jasper there befofe she can eat in a crowd. She gets panic attacks with too many thoughts at once."
"He said to give him about a week when he called," Esme says. "He wants to be sure he won't lose control and hurt anyone, more importantly Isla."
"Alright," Edward mumbles. "She told me until she gains more control, she is eating in the library where no one else is."
"Poor thing," Esme coos. "I can't wait to meet her!"

When the sun goes down and after Isla gets off of work at the diner, she heads straight home. She went home after school, she walked Ronny, opened the back door in case Ronny had to potty, changed, and went to work at the local diner when Charlie was eating.
Isla walks over and she looks out the backdoor, Ronny is sleeping on the back porch. She looks at the dog before she wakes him up and he trots tiredly upstairs. Isla closes the door and locks up before showering, and joining her animal companion.
