After the meeting and when the others head to Italy, Marcus, Demitri, and Isla go to the Cullen mansion. They want to properly meet the child, see their mates, and Demitri... he just missed Forks. Alice sees Marcus walking and she squeals and rushe sour as Leah meets Demitri's eyes and her entire world changes forever. She imported on a Volturi guard member.
Isla heads straight in and she sees Nessie. "Hi there, little one." She kneels in front of the piano bench she's sitting on, Bella watches closely. "I'm Isla Hale. I'm your cousin."
"Cousin?" Renesme inquires.
"Your father is my biological great-great uncle," Isla explains. "That makes you my blood, and I will never, ever, ever hurt you or let anyone hurt you. Okay?"
"Okay," Renesme smiles. "My name Renesme."
"So beautiful," Isla muses. "Can you play as well as I can?"
Renesme's eyes grow wide and happiness fills them. "Yes."
"Hold on," Isla says and she sees dead flowers in a vase on the piano; she stands and she touches them, they come back to life. "There, all better." She joins Nessie on the piano bench. "Let's play until your uncle Jasper gets here?"
Renesme nods energetically and they begin playing a Batoven song. Edward watches in awe as Leah and Demitri walk in, along with Alice amd Marcus. Jasper joins in and Isla runs and crashes into him, causing them to fly out the door. Nessie giggles and she asks Marcus if he can play.
"Oh, I know a few cords," Marcus replies in a rare happy voice, and he joins her. "Shall I show you, little one?"

Jasper and Alice returns to Volterra with Marcus and Isla. There they start the human blood diet, and Jasper honestly feels more alive than he ever has. Alice has become one of the queens and wound up marrying Marcus a few years after everything.
