Chapter 6

( and here is where Twilight starts)

                     Around March, there is a rumor going around about a new kid coming to Forks. Isla didn't go crazy about the idea because she was still partially new. Sure, now she is in a slow but steady relationship with Jasper Hale, is best friends wirh Rosalie Hale and Emmett Cullen, and cousin to Edward Cullen - but to the rest of the student body at Forks High School, Isla Sofia Masen is still a new girl. 
                 Jasper leans against the side of his car while Isla chats away wirh Emmett about animals, dogs mainly. She wants to adopt another one, a puppy to raise and Emmett demanded he help raise it. Alice is charting happily with Edward when a loud rumble is heard and Edward tenses.
                  Isla looks over and sees the new girl getting out of the loud sounding truck that Rosalie makes a comment about it needing a food tune up. The new girl has brown hair that goes down past her shoulder blades, chocoalte brown eyes, pale skin. She's pretty, thst was Isla's first thought.
                  Oh, no, the new girl thinks as Isla focuses in on her. They're all staring at me. What a way to start a first day.
               "Poor girl," Isla coos. "Everyone is staring at her and it's making her nervous."
               "You see her thoughts?" Edward asks through cleanchec teeth, and Isla nods as she gets closer to Jasper. "I can't. It's like a... it's like there's a shield or something covering it."
                 Isla sighs as Jasper touches her lower back. He eyes Edward sternly before he walks his girlfriend inside the high school. The new girl is head of them and she has been approached by the paper editor, Eric Yorkie. He did a feature on Isla when she started. Eric won her over when he told her she was picturesque. She couldn't resist his geeky charm.
                "I'm glad we are taking things slow, Jasper," Isla admits as they reach her calculus class. "I'll see you in our ends class."
                With a gentle kiss on the forehead, Isla heads into her class and Jasper heads to his own.

                  Isla goes into the locker rooms to dress up for gym and spots the new girl dressing away from everyone. "You dress away from the other girls, too, huh?"
                     The new girl gasps as she clutches her shirt to her chest. "Ye-yes. I'm Isabella, but I... go by Bella. Bella Swan."
                     "I'm Isla Masen," Isla says and she begins to strip. "I was new here in January after Christmas break. I cam be your new girl guide." She pulls on her gym shorts and a white T-shirt with the school's mascot on the front. "Get dressed, Bella. You just saw me partially naked, your turn."
                  Bella blushes a deep shade of crimson as she removes her jeans and puts on her gym uniform. "Where are you from?"
                    "I was born in La Push, down on the reservation," Isla replies as the two exit the gym, Jessica Stanley watching with wide eyes. "I was raised in Seattle, though."
                       The girls in the gym class are playing volleyball. Isla is excited, she uses her telepathy to her advantage - even though she knows Edward will scold her for it later. She sees each play before Jessica Stanley, who is on Bella's team on the other side of the end, plays. Bella, however, isn't as excited. She had pleaded for Coach Clapp not to let her play and now Isla sees why.
                   When Isla spiked, the ball went flying across the gym to where the boys were playing basketball. The ball hits Mike Newton in the head. The only reason Isla knows who he is, is because she kept rejecting him when she first started and she finally snapped last week, telling him she's wirh Jasper and to leave her alone. And he has.
                     Bella rushes over to Mike as he rubs the back of his head, Isla watches her. "Are you alright? I warned them not to let me play."
                     "It's a flesh wound," Mike replies and he grins at him, and she smiles back - relieved he's okay. "You're Isabella, right?" He asks when the bell rings.
                    "Just Bella," she corrects as Isla leaves the gym and she goes to get changed.
                    Isla and Emmett go to Port Angeles after school. Isla did want another puppy, and Emmett wanted to help pick it out and help raise it. Emmett drives her in his Jeep after dropping her car off... Luckily she is off work today.
                "I kind of want another German Shepherd like Ronny," Isla says as she and Emmett enter the pet adoption place. "But a puppy."
                    Emmett nods in agreement and tells the receptionist he and his best friend are looking for a puppy. Him calling her his best friend and thinking it, too, made Isla smile like an idiot as they both look at the puppies and she chooses one - Emmett agrees. A puppy miniature german shepherd.
                      Ronny is wary of the new puppy at first when Isla and Jasper bring him there when Emmett goes somewhere with Rosalie. But Ronny quickly warms up and begins playing with Rosa, the newest addition to the Masen family.
                         Jasper lifts Isla's face with his fingers and he kisses her once again, tenderly. Isla sighs into his lips and she kisses him back just as tenderly.
