Chapter 41

Frenzied eyed newborns are rushing through the trees, chasing Bella's left over scent. Isla and Jasper suddenly zoom out like lighting and tackle two down when they stop, when Bella's scent does. A lethal looking Jasper and Isla rip the heads off their victims with wade.

The other newborns look at the lethal Mayes and suddenly, three more how down; they're being attacked by Esme, Carlisle, Emmett, and Alice. Out of nowhere, Sam runs in as Isla gets cornered by two and Jared right behind him. They take the two newborns cornering Isla. Isla and Emmett spring fill-bore back into the fight, relishing the battle.

The pack all work together, taking newborns left and right coordinating as a paid. Working perfectly together while Isla and Emmett worth together.

Jasper controls the field, using speed and strength - using it against each of his opponents as they come at him. Rosalie fights with an icy calm, she likes that Emmett and Isla coordinate perfectly together. Alice is fighting with precognition. Like Isla and Emmett, Esme and Carlisle are fighting side-by-side.

Isla ends up getting cornered by a female newborn as Jacob jumps and goes for its neck. Emmett checks Isla over quickly as Jacob takes the kill. Isla and Emmett jump back in to the fight. Jacob and sam team up and they charge at a newborn, each wolf grabbing. The newborn's arms and ripping them off.

"Paul!" Isla gasps in a whisper.

Her brother is surrounded by three newborns. Isla and Emmett loom at each other, smirking, and the run over and they go to Paul's aid. Isla and Emmett a newborn each and Paul takes the left over. Paul amd Emmett share a loom before Emmett runs with Isla again and Paul goes to fight elsewhere.

Carlisle and Esme approach a young girl, newborn, named Bree. Bree backs up when they come near, terrified. The husband and wife share a loom and they relax their stance, and they attempt to talk to and calm the newborn girl.

Alice darts from newborn to newborn, not looking at them, she already knows their next move. She sweeps their feet, keeping them off balanced- throwing them off and confusing them. It's almost as if she is dancing. If Isla weren't so focused in fighting along side her best friend, she'd be impressed.

Isla heard a bite and she turns to see a newborn on Jasper. She growls viciously and she rushes over amd she grabs the newborn, throwing him to Rosalie. Rose, Emmett, and Carlisle are the kill while Isla tends to Jasper. Isla is angry, she knows he did it to protect her.

"I can handle myself," Isla tells him calmly. "Plus, I had Emmett. You think he'd let me get hurt?"

"Hell no!" Emmett says as he grabs Isla. "Lets do this, mini me."

Isla helps burn the bodies when the battle ends. She stands between Jasper and Emmett as the large fire burns. The Voltur - Jane, Alec, Felix, and Demitri - are on their way. Alice and Isla have done told Edward and Bella to come... Now.

"How long?" Edward asks as he walks over with Bella.

"A few minutes," Alice replies. "Maybe ten."

"They timed their arrival well," Rosalie comments as Bella looks for Jacob.

"Probably hoping the newborns took a few of us out," Emmett adds.
