Chapter 42

Isla has spent time getting accustomed to the Volturi ways, being a member of their guard, and she's usually with Caius and / or Athenadora. While Isla is in Volterra, Caius and Athenadora have taken over the role as Isla's parents and vampire mentor, maintly Caius bevauxe Athenadora is always either in the gardens or her and Caius's section of the castle.

Demitri has taken it upon himself to train Isla to be a proper Volturi guard while Felix literally pleaded for Isla to spar with him a few times now that she has joined them. She spars with Felix for the same reason she'd spar with Emmett in Forks, to keep up her fighting ability, strategy, strength, and speed. Felix is really impressed with what skills Isla has come to gain while in Denali, Alaska with the help of Emmett Cullen and Jasper Hale.

It has been a couple weeks since the newborn battle and Isla is as strong as ever. She is on a plane right now with Demitri, Alice sent her an invite to the Cullen/Swan wedding, and she couldn't pass up seeing her husband again. Demitri is coming because he is a huge romantic and is sucker for a wedding, though he won't admit it.

The plane lands in Port Angeles and Demitri is relieved by the gloomy weather and by the fact it's actually night time. Isla isn't surprised it's dark here while the sun was shining in Volterra. The vampires catch a taxi because they both have luggage. The wedding of Edward and Bella is the next day. Demitri and Isla are headed to the Cullen house right now to see everyone, and to let them know that they've arrived.

The taxi drives to the address Isla gives him and Jasper is on the balcony quickly. His eyes see Demitri first and Demitri nods to the other side of the car with a knowing smile. Jasper arches his eyebrows and he laughs as Isla grunts as Emmett tackles the crimson eyed vampire in a hug. Carlisle lets Demitri in while Emmett hugs Isla without wanting to let go.

"Isla, come help me!" Alice chirps from the door. "We need to finish setting up while Bella is home sleeping."

Isla walks in but instead of going to help Alice, she rushes to the balcony and throws herself into her husband's arms. They'd Skype when either one of them weren't too busy with wither wedding things or Volturi guard things. Jasper inhales Isla's scent while Demitri gets into a serious conversation about sports with Emmett, which makes Emmett super excited.

"Demitri came with?" Jasper asks as the couple finally pulls apart.

"Though he won't admit it, Demitri is a sucker for a wedding and a huge romantic," Isla muses and Demitri is too busy talking to Emmett to hear. "He told the kings it was to 'keep an eye on me', but Aro knew better. We had a good laugh at Demitri's excuse when Demitri went to pack us both a bag each."

"You don't have to leave right away now," Jasper whispers. "Woods?"

Isla grins. "Woods."

Isla and Jasper return and hey find Alice talking to Demitri about Marcus now. Rosalie and Emmett have went hunting with Esme. Edward was om the balcony as the married couple returns. Carlisle is cleaning up for the human guests Bella invited. 

The ones on the guest list Isla is looking forward to seeing again are the Denali coven... Mainly Eleazar and Carmen, but she's thrilled to see Irina, Kate, and Tanya as well. Bella invited Billy and Jacob Black; Paul Skypes Isla while she was still in Volterra, three hours before she and Demitri left, and said Jacob ran off when he got the invite, cowardly. Bella also invited Sue Clearwater and her kids. Leah won't be attending because she despises both Bella and the coven. Leah's little brother Seth plans pm coming because his going heart doesn't hate anybody. Isla must wanrs to pinch his cheeks and call him adorable, to embarrass him.

Demitri laughs as he begins talking with Emmett, who has just returned from a hunt while Isla goes to her and Jasper's room to get her wedding outfit ready. Jasper isn't too far behind her.
