Chapter 21

It's been a few days, Eleazar has been working with Isla all day, every day. Jasper hasn't spent but time with Isla but he isn't worried. She is learning how to be a vampire and adjusting to the life, the diet, and the sparkling skin. She calls herself a disco ball, all the time.

Jasper blames Emmett for that. Emmett brought up the idea of being called disco balls after Isla called herself a fairy. Jasper guesses that disco ball is better than being called a fairy... Though he often swears Alivd is part pixie due to her happiness and bubbly personality.

Isla is sitting outside with Carmen, enjoying the gloomy day. They can sit outside all days without worrying about the sparkling skin in the sky. Isla loves Alaska. The Denali coven has taken her in just as quickly as they did the others. Carmen is happy that Eleazar agreed to mentor Isla during her immortality.

"Isla," Eleazar comes out.

Isla groans like a high school student. "Now!?"

"Yes, now," Eleazar demands. "You're the student in this relationship, Isla, I'm the mentor. That means you listen to me."

Isla looks up at him and she sighs. "Fine!"

Isla takes off running into the trees with Eleazar flashes after her. He watches as she zooms around the Alaskan woods quickly, she is as fast as Edward - Eleazar was quick to notice Thst when he took the role as Isla's mentor and he mate a mental note of her speed. He even had Carlisle or Alice email Edward, rather he read it or not.

Eleazar leans against a tree, he knows he won't be able to catch up with Isla. Rosalie soon comes out and she feels the wind of Isla as she passes.

"She is fast, isn't she?" Rosalie muses.

"And she knows it, too," Eleazar replies. "She has Emmett's cocky attitude."

Rosalie smirks. "Yeah. She and Emmett are good friends."

"She and Emmett have a strength competition tomorrow, right?" Eleazar asks.

"Yep," Rosalie replies as Isla pounces at a deer. "Emmett wanted it a when we got here but Isla disappeared into the trees with Kate and Irina."

"I look forward to seeing the look on his face when Emmett goes against a newborn vampire," Eleazar muses. "That will be fascinating."

Rosalie grins. "It will."

Isla soon returns them in a human speed, using one of her fingers to wipe the blood of the deer from her lips. "That was tasty. Hi, Rose."

"Hey," Rosalie greets. "I better report back to Jasper."

Isla looks at Eleazar. "What next, boss?"

"Let's go down by the river and talk more of the rules," Eleazar says and they walk down to the river.

Both vampires sit on the embankment and Eleazar begins explaining each rule to Isla. He even had her repeat them. Isla stares across the river while Eleazar goes to hunt for a moment.

Isla never thought she'd be here. Denali here, or vampire here. Isla wasn't lying when she spoke with Eleazar a few days prior. She loves Jasper, oh-so much; she sees Carlisle as her parents; Rosalie and Alice as her sisters; Edward is her great-great uncle; she sees Emmett as a big brother and best friend. She doesn't know where'd she would be without any of them.

But the last thing Isla wanted was forced upon her by Victoria, immortality. Despite adoring her vampire family, Isla never wanted to become a vampire. She has to agree with Rosalie every time she says it, vampirism should never be a choice. If Isla were dying, that'd be a different story but she wasn't dying. She was an average eighteen year old in love with a boy. Though the boy was a vampire. She was enjoying her prom, and then only had to tinkle and now...

Now she's on Denali, Italy in her coven of vampires. Learning how to be a vampire and how to be apart of the vampire society / world. Learning about the royalty, and their set rules. How to hunt, how to build up her self control.

"You look like you're in deep though," Carmen claims as she sits beside Isla. "Are you alright?"

"No, I'm honestly not," Isla replies. "Edward work spesk with me. If I could just know he doesn't hate me for almost attacking Bella..."

"And you won't have peace until you know," Carmen concludes. "I understand. Carlisle and Esme are trying to reach out and talk to Edward but he isn't speaking to anyone. I'll probably have Alice or Rosalie try when I return."

Eleazar soon returns from his hunt and find his wife. "Carmen, dear, any word from Edward?"

"Not a peep," Carmen replies. "I'll have Alice or Rosalie reach out when I go back. Maybe even both."

Eleazar nods and he places a loving kiss on his wife's lips. "Isla, go see Jasper."

The newborn doesn't have to be told twice before she is running full speed through the Alaskan woods. She sees Jasper talking to emmett and she flings her self into Jasper's arms, sending them flying half a mile in the opposite direction, causing a booming laugh to fill the air from Emmett.

"Ow!" Emmett suddenly yells amd he glares at Rosalie. "Stop!"

Jasper helps Isla up and he grabs her face, kissing her lips passionately before he feels the mischief and her... mood. Jasper arches his eyebrows suggestively and he zooms them somewhere in the trees on the outskirts of Denali. They're both naked within seconds and their mouths and hands are all over each other.
