Behind the Scenes Chewing Gum

Third Person Perspective~

All of the Dreamies were slowly waking up as the
sun rise. The first to wake up was Jaemin who cooked breakfast a majority of the time. The next to wake up were Mark and Haechan who were still a bit sleepy. Then the rest of the Dreamies woke up and got ready for the day.

Yu-Yu was the last to come down the stairs. The young boy dressed up into a yellow sweatshirt, overalls, and white sneakers. He slowly entered into the kitchen. He greeted his hyungs, "Good morning, hyungs." They all greeted him back.

Chenle patted the seat next to him motioning for
Yu-Yu to sit. Jeno handed his dongsaeng some orange juice. "Thank you, hyung"

They all chattered as Jaemin continued to cook breakfast for the members. Yu-Yu slowly walked over to Jaemin to ask if he needed help.

Yu-Yu's Perspective

I walked over to Jaemin hyung and asked if he needed help. "Hyung do you need any help?" Jaemin hesitantly asked, "Could you help me with carrying those plates to the table?" I nodded my head.

I carried over the plates which contained our breakfast. We all talked and finished our meals over a course of thirty minutes. Once we had all finished eating we all discussed about our schedule.

Turns out today we'll be leading the choreography to Chewing Gum. I'm kinda nervous because I heard we have to ride hoverboards. I can barley walk with my two feet let alone ride a hoverboard.

Renjun yelled, "LET'S HEAD OUT TO THE VAN NOW!" I quickly ran to the van and took the seat in the back. I took a nap as we drove to SM.

Two hours later~

We've been practicing for like two hours now, and I'm scared because the hoverboards were suddenly brought in by our manger. We went over the eight counts to the dance a few more times, before trying the hoverboards our.

"1,2,3 and 4 5,6,7, and 8." I kept repeating the steps until I was statisfied with the choreography. I mumbled the lyrics to our song under my breathe. "Chew-chew-chew-chew chewing gum, gum, gum
내 까만 스니커즈를 지금 멈추게 (만든 너)."

One by one we were handed our hoverboards. I slowly steeped onto the board, and as I started moving I accidentally slipped from losing my balance. I didn't want to burden my hyungs so I tried to figure out how to ride this thing.

It took me about twenty minutes before learning how to not fall off of this moving board. I didn't notice this, but I started to pout as I grew even more frustrated. Renjun suddenly approached me.

Renjun asked me kindly, "Yu-Yu what's wrong?"
I replied, "Hyung, I can't figure out how to ride this thing without losing my balance." Renjun saw my dilemma and smiled at me.

He asked in a concerning tone, "Baby why didn't you ask any of us to help you?" I mumbled quietly, "I didn't want to burden you guys. You all seemed busy having fun on these hoverboards."

Renjun squished my cheeks, "You'll never burden any of us. Yu-Yu step off the board for a second."

I listened to him and stepped off of this dangerous board. He quickly showed me how to ride the hoverboard and I soon began to take off without losing my balance. I thanked him as I started going as fast as the Flash.

I shouted, "HYUNGS LOOK I DID IT!" They all giggled at me as I rode around getting a hang of the hoverboard. I steeped off the board after riding on it for another twenty minutes.

Mark announced, "Let's go over the dance two more time, and then we can go over the lyrics afterwards."

We all nodded our heads. I walked to my position and practiced the dance two more times like we all agreed on. On the last practice round we all decided to do the choreography on the hoverboards.

After going over and correcting the choreography, we all took a ten minute water break. As the members went to go get some water, I went over the lyrics and tried to correct my high notes. I still can't believe we're debuting in a few weeks from now.

I still remember being a trainee and thinking that I would never get to debut. The boys soon came back into the room. Jeno offered me some water as the boys went over their lyrics.

Jisung sat next to me and we practiced our lyrics together. "Chew-chew-chew-chew chewing gum, gum, gum 내 까만 스니커즈를 지금 멈추게 (만든 너)" we sung in unison.

We all continued to practice the song over and over until our vocal chords needed a break.

Third Person Perspective ~

The members all gathered around and did their scenes for the music video. They all only had one more scene to film. Which would be them riding on the hoverboards while doing the choreography.

Jisung and the others cooed at the younger as he shot his individual scenes. Renjun watched carefully as Yu-Yu did his scene on the hoverboards. Mark smiled towards Yu-Han as he looked over at the boys to see if they wanted anything to be fixed in his scenes.

Jaemin and Jeno stared at the younger like proud parents. Chenle walked over to Yu-Yu because they had a scene together. Haechan joked around with his dongsaeng to calm Yu-Yu's nerves.

During their mini breaks throughout the MV, they all took care of one another. They played games with one another as each of them finished shooting their scenes.

They one by one lined up and shot the scene. The boys had about three outfit changes before the MV finished.  They were all tired by the end of the day. All of the members had fallen asleep in the van as they drove away from the set.

They all dreamed about the lyrics to Chewing Gum as they dozed off to sleep.
