This all started back when Jisung and Yu-Yu were judges on Produce 101. It really creeped the young child out since he was younger than the girl and didn't feel comfortable with her calling him oppa. The girl wouldn't stop calling him oppa so Jisung had to intervene.
Let's start off by saying that Jisung nearly attacked the girl due to her saying that she's Yu-Yu's wife and that he's her Oppa. This happened back in 2016, a few months after both boys had debuted. They were asked to be judges on the produce 101 lineup. The boys thought it would be a great opportunity, but little did they know that it would be the worst mistake of their career.
This happened one day after the first six weeks of the program. The two boys especially Yu-Yu had formed a bond with a lot of the contestants. Jisung on the other hand was very much wary about the contestants. The two boys were busy choreographing the dance for the upcoming week, when one of the contestants shouted out oppa towards Yu-Yu.
"Oppa!" Yu-Yu ignored her the first three times thinking that she was joking, but then the younger started to become annoyed. Yu-Yu went back to creating the choreography with Jisung, when suddenly the girl came up to him and got a little too close for his liking. Jisung started worrying for his little brother.
He asked the girl to step away from Yu-Yu, "Can you please step back a little? You're kinda in
Yu-Yu's personal space which is very much not comforting for him." What the girl said next made Jisung want to yeet her out of the room. "I'm his wife and he's my oppa." Yu-Yu shouted, "YOU'RE A LIAR AND A MEANIE HEAD. I'VE NEVER SEEN YOU IN MY WHOLE LIFE."
Jisung swiftlty picked up the angered Yu-Yu, and placed his hands over the younger's ears. Jisung got up real close to the girl. "Have you truly lost your damn mind? You're a 99 liner who keeps harassing a fetus. I don't care if you're joking or not, because it's not okay to joke about something even close to that.
If Yu-Yu is uncomfortable with you calling him oppa, then you need to stop then and there.
I don't want to have to repeat his words just for you to process them. Also, I think it's disgusting that you would joke about you a 99 liner dating or being married to an 05 liner. Yu-Yu's practically a Fetus and you're old enough to be his mom.
So please stop calling him oppa for the one millionth time. If you don't stop then I'll report you to the ceo, and I'm sure he'll handle you perfectly fine. Do I have myself clear?" The girl stayed silent glaring at the ground. Jisung asked in annoyed tone, "DO I HAVE MYSELF CLEAR?" The girl shouted out, "Yes." Jisung mumbled under his breath, "Disgusting ass bitch."
Jisung slowly took away his hands from Yu-Yu ears, which caused Yu-Yu to go off like a firecracker on the girl. He walked up near the girl and started screaming like crazy. "Don't ever call me oppa ever again. I asked you nicely to stop about ten times, but you didn't listen and thought I was joking.
Also don't ever say that you're my wife, because honey I'm a homosexual which means you aren't even in my interest. Second of all, you're old enough to be my mom... sad for you. Third of all, don't ever get up in my personal space ever again. You're so lucky that I won't throw my banana milk on top of your head. Do I have myself clear?"
"YES!" The young child walked back over to Jisung. The two at the end of the day reported the girl to the ceo. The show went over a whole lecture and lesson on why nobody should ever do what that girl did. That's the story on why Yu-Yu hates being called oppa.
