Ashley's POV

When I woke up I had a small headache, but it was gone after a few minutes. Cameron wasn't next to me. I looked around my room and saw him sitting in my desk chair on the phone.

"You know what, you can spend all the time you want with Sierra and I, but I know what you're up to. It's what you did last time. You tricked us into thinking you were actually going to stay and be our father again. But then you just left us. You fucking left us. We trusted you." He said on the phone.

"No. I know what you're doing." He said.

"Ok yeah whatever. I'll see you later." Cameron said ending the phone call. He ran his fingers through his hair and took a deep breath. I walked up behind him and put my arms around his neck. It didn't scare him. He knew I was awake.

"Everything ok Cam?" I asked. My cheek was against his. He smiled a little.

"Yeah it's just my dad." He said.

"What does he have planed to do today?" I asked.

"He wants to take Sierra and I out to dinner and then take us to a movie." He said. Avery ran into the room and sat in front of Cameron and I. She was wagging her tail.

"Well while you're out doing that, I think I'm gonna take this cutie for a little walk." I said smiling. Cameron smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Sounds like fun." He said. Avery ran downstairs (she's actually a Labrador, I said she was a Golden Retriever). Cameron got up and put some jeans on and a T shirt. I walked up to him and held his hand.

"Hey, I know you're upset about your dad. But just give him a chance ok?" I said.

"I already gave him a chance! He lied also! My soccer team had a tournament and he promised on his life he'd be there, but he didn't. Then in the school play I was one of the main characters. He promised to come but he didn't. I'm just so freaking tired of letting him do this to me!" Cameron said with anger.

"Cameron please." I said.

"You don't understand Ash!" He said also with anger. I just stayed quiet. Cameron took a deep breath and ran his fingers through his hair again and then looked at me.

"I'm sorry Ash. I've just got a lot on my mind right now. I didn't mean to yell at you." He said.

"It's ok Cam, I understand." I said. He walked towards me and hugged me. I hugged him.

"I'm sorry." He said.

"It's fine, don't worry about it." I said.

After we stopped hugging, he let me do his hair. I didn't really do much, I just made it look messy. He smiled.

"Thanks." He said. I kissed his cheek.

"No problem." I said.

We walked downstairs and Cameron stood by the front door. I stood by him. Avery looked out the glass door. Cameron's dad showed up with Sierra after a few minutes.

Cameron gave a kiss and hugged me. He bent down and gave Avery a kiss. Avery licked Cameron's face. He laughed. Then he left. I watched him leave.

I sat on the couch with Avery for an hour. Cameron was going to be out for another 2 hours. I think he was going to his house afterwards.

I got Avery's leash and clipped it onto her collar. Then walked outside.

We walked two blocks. Avery was well behaved. Until we were about 3 blocks away from Cameron's house. She started barking and pulling on the leash. I told her to stop but she wouldn't listen.

Then her leash somehow unclipped from her collar and she ran around the block on the sidewalk. She was still barking. I ran after her.

"Avery!" I said. She kept running.

"Avery get back here!" I said.

When we were one block away from Cameron's house I saw smoke. Avery kept running and so did I. Then I noticed where the smoke was coming from.

Cameron's house was on fire. When we got there she stopped running and I picked her up. I quickly called Nash.

"Nash?" I said when he picked up. I was scared.

"Hey Ash, what's up? Everything alright?" He asked.

"No. I took Avery for a walk and her leash broke. She ran all the way to Cameron's house. It's on fire." I said. Avery was whimpering. Then she barked.

"What?! Oh my god...um I'll call 911. I'll be there in a minute. Don't go in the house ok?" He said.

"Alright." I said. I had tears in my eyes. I wanted to do something. Avery kept barking. The firetruck, ambulance, and police then showed up. I heard someone yell from inside the house.

Avery started barking and tried to run away from me but I held her. She was moving to much and then she jumped out of my arms and ran into the house.

One of the fighter fighters tried to catch her but she ran away from him. I ran after her but a police officer stopped me. I told him that there were people inside and that was my dog.

Nash arrived and he hugged me to keep me calm. But it wasn't working.

I knew Cameron went home early. Something happened.

I just couldn't stop thinking.

Alright I'm back at it with cliffhangers again I'm sorry..

I fell down the stairs this morning, I was tired.

But anyway, I'm writing another story.

It's called "Broken".

It's a Cameron Dallas & Hayes Grier fanfic. Everyone is in the same age group so yeah.

I've written 10 chapters so far and I'm working on the 11th chapter now. It's kinda cheesy in the first chapter but it gets better.
