Chapter 6

*2 months later school has started*

I walked with Nash to school.

"Happy school started?" Nash asked me. I shook my head "No"

"Why not?" Nash asked.

"Because! I don't have any friends at this school! And I won't get to see Cameron that much anymore!" I said.

"I thought you had friends though.." He said.

"Yeah,Caleb. But that's it. Caleb and I can't hang out like regular friends would...cause Cameron might think I'm cheating and I don't want that.." I said.

"It's okay Ash, you can sit with me at lunch if its okay.." He said giving me a hug. I smiled and hugged him.

"Now let's go, all this "Friends" talk is making me want to watch the show and eat popcorn for the rest of the day.." He said. We both laughed.

We figured out what classes we had together and separated. I had History first, then Math, and Nash and I had Spanish together. I walked into History class and sat down by Caleb.

"Hey Caleb." I said.

"Sup." he said not looking up from his phone. 2 minutes later, he realized it was me. Ashley.

"ASHLEY GRIER!!" He yelled and gave me a hug. Thank god we were the only ones in the classroom for a few minutes. I smiled.

"How've you been?" I asked.

"Getting better at basketball, bet you can't beat me at a game of it. What ya say? Can we play basketball again together sometime?" Caleb said.

I smiled. "Of course!" I said.

"Ready to learn about Old Famous Dead People?" He said excitedly and with humor. I laughed.

(I'm not good with humor...sorry)

"Yeah!" I said.

Then this girl walked in with 2 other friends of hers. Her name was Allison but everyone called her Ally. She was the popular girl. And she was very rude to me, sometimes even Caleb. She walked over to where Caleb and I were sitting.

"Welcome back...Ashley. I was thinking maybe we could be friends this year? What do you say?" Ally said.

I looked at Caleb then back at Ally. "No, you treated me like shit sense 5th grade. I can't take it anymore.." I said.

"I was joking anyway. I wouldn't want to be friends with you. Cause you ugly and stupid." She said. Caleb looked at her.

"Shut up Ally! Ashley isn't stupid! Or ugly! She's been my friend for years and she's nothing of that! That's what you are. Ugly and stupid!" Caleb said. I smiled.

I guess this is what it's like to have a true friend. Who knows almost everything about you, takes your side at the moments you need them, and they are always there when your bored as hell to make you laugh.

Ally rolled her eyes. "You know you probably can't be friends with Ashley anymore. She's got a boyfriend now. You have to understand that she won't care about you anymore." Ally said.

Caleb looked at me.

"That's not true at all Ally, Caleb will always be my friend no matter what. He's been here for me for along time. So I'll be here for him for as long as he needs me." I said. Caleb smiled.

Ally just walked away and sat down by her friends.

"What you said, you meant it right?" Caleb said. I smiled.

"Of course, you're my friend Caleb." I said. He smiled.

"Thanks." He said. I nodded my head.

So we've all met Caleb now.
He's like the school nerd but cooler.
He loves to play video games and hang with his friends.
And he also likes to play basketball.
