Chapter ??? - Abandonment

“Jordie, what the hell do you think you’re doing?!!”

 “Jordie!!”

My nose throbbed painfully, and I wiped the trickling blood away from running into my mouth with the back of my hand, grunting as I did so. I bent my knees, clenching my fists beside me. Glaring at him through narrow eyes, I gritted my teeth. Anger boiled within me.

What was that for?! I f*cking saved his f*cking sister. He has no f*cking right to punch me.

The anger rose as I stared at the a*shole that I thought was my friend. He was staring back at me, clenching and unclenching his hands, wiggling his fingers. His chin was held up slightly, triumphantly even, as he looked down on me. He was not smiling. Far from it. He looked pissed.

But not as pissed as me.

As a roar of rage escaped my mouth I drew back my fist and ran forward, swinging it forward and feeling a great amount of satisfaction and pain as it connected with the side of Jordie’s mouth.

“B*TCH!” He said in shock as he staggered sideways slightly, immediately holding a hand to his mouth.

 “Kieran!!”

 But I kept going.

I managed to get another two hits on him, and a punch in the stomach, sending him groaning to the floor. He’d punched me again in the eye, and pain went pulsing through it.

Sofia grabbed my arm and twisted it behind my back, and Sadie knelt by Jordie, giving me a stern look. I ground my teeth together, my hand still a tight ball by my side.

“F*cking scumbag.” Jordie spat, sitting up, leaning on one hand while holding his stomach with the other. As I untensed my hand, I realised my knuckles f*cking hurt. I must have punched him the wrong way or something stupid like that.

Having one of my arms practically taken away from me didn’t affect me in the slightest, I made sure my position was hostile. “Don’t start what you can’t finish, you stupid git.” I replied, growling slightly. “Some friend you are.”

“You shoved Sadie into the water to drown!” He replied, with a slight lisp, as if he bit his tongue. I ground my teeth together once again, his ignorance irritated me immensely.

“No, I didn’t. If I left her, she would’ve been crushed, then she definitely would be dead.” I explained for what I feel is one time too many. Sadie nodded slightly, placing a hand on Jordie’s shoulder.

Closing his eyes briefly, he shrugged her off. He took out the bread package, I could see the map stick out from behind his belt. “Then how did you manage to save this?! Why didn’t you tell any of us?!”

“You think I wanted to nearly drown?! I didn’t even f*cking know there was a river here!!” I replied, exasperated. This made Jordie go even redder than he already was.

“BULLSH*T!” He yelled. “You’ve played this level, you said so yourself!! We all know you finished it, we’ve all had a go at level two! There is no way you forgot that there was a river that attempts to kill you!!”

“F*ck you! I had no idea!! If I did, I would’ve told you! I took the other path last time!” I said, shaking Sofia off my arm. The two girls were listening, taking in what they heard.
