Chapter ??? - Onwards and Upwards.

Day 4

I sighed, approaching the large wooden door. The door to the next level. Just a dark wooden door with iron ring handles, embedded in a large slab of rock.

The moment I’ve been anticipating and dreading. I know what the second level brings. The enemies based there.

 I don’t how how I’ll do it. I probably can’t.

I’ll get a sword, and hide in a cabin with a CPU. Yeah, that sounds good.

What about the third level, though? What kind of things will lie there?

Just take it one level at a time.

I stopped a metre or two away from the door, looking at the huge structure. I’m not sure how you can’t see it over all the trees. Ah, oh well.

I tightened my hoodie sleeves around my waist yet again. My hoodie was weighed down by the things I’d collected throughout my time in level one; a few packages of bread, a few canteens of water, a couple of health potions, and a bunch of shiny crap I’d stuffed in my pockets. I couldn’t find anything to keep the stuff in, so I’d tied the bottom of my hoodie in a knot and shoved everything in through the neck-hole. Not being bothered to carry it all the way, I’d tied the sleeves around my waist, leaving the ‘bag’ on my side, so it wouldn’t annoy me by hitting my legs.

I haven’t showered in ages, it’s pretty gross. My hair is horrible and greasy, and I smell. It’s not great being in this baking heat with no showers.

I miss my computer too. And Lacey, with her stupid doggie face. Mama, especially. I even miss those a*sholes, but not too much.

Running a hand through my hair, I breathed out.

 Okay. Time for level two.

I opened the door with a long creak.

Instantly I was surrounded with darkness. The door slammed shut. Then came the sensation of being ripped apart.
