Chapter 26 - Reagan's Doubts

Reagan's POV*

Galing ako sa hotel room nila Molly at sinabi ni Myca na nagpaalam daw si Molly na pupunta siya sa penthouse.

Nang makarating ako sa may penthouse, I saw Greg and Molly being closer than ever. I felt my heart crash a bit. I can't just jump into conclusion na they're into something na hindi ko ikatutuwa.

Greg is my best friend and he knows what I feel for Molly. Pero hindi rin eh. Minsan ang feelings hindi mo madidiktahan. What if they're starting to develop something for each other?

Feeling a bit furious because of what I just saw, I decided to go to a bar to chill out. Luckily, I found a restobar that is open 24/7. I ordered some beer to chill myself out.

I'm starting to think that I'm better by myself and that I don't need nobody to make me happy. I'm starting to feel cold again.

A female approaches me. "Hi, cutie," she greeted. I looked at her for a couple of seconds before deciding if I wanted to entertain her.

I did.

"Hi."

"Need someone to accompany you?" she asked in the flirtiest way possible.

"Yes, baby," I answered back. I ordered some drinks for her and we started chitchatting.

"Single?" she asked.

"N-... Actually yes, I am," I answered back.

"Good." she said biting her lower lip.

"Do you work here?" I asked.

"No, I don't. I was just bored in my apartment so I decided to go here with the hopes of meeting someone new," she answered.

"Interesting," I said. "What's your name?"

"I'm Rose. You?" she asked back.

"I'm Reagan." We shook our hands.

"So, what do you do for a living?" she asked. I can't just trust her, right?

"I'm in a band." Kitang kita sa mukha niya ang pagkamangha. She bit her lower lip and moved closer.

"You can't do that," sabi ko sa kanya nang ilayo ko siya sa'kin.

"Why not?"

"Because," I paused.

"Because what?" she asked.

Tumayo na ako at saka naglakad palabas. Maya-maya, tumatawag sa cellphone ko si Greg.

"What?" tanong ko nang medyo pagalit. Hindi ko maiwasang makaramdam ng inis sa kanya.

"Geez, chill out! Where are you? Go back here so we can plan the party this weekend."

"I can't."

"Why not? Reags, I need you here. We have to finish thi—" I cut him off.

"I just can't." Binaba ko na 'yung call. Pumunta nalang ako sa park para mag-ikot ikot.

Medyo nahihilo pa ako dahil sa nainom ko sa bar. Medyo napatagal din ako ro'n. Ayaw ko pa sanang umuwi dahil sa gusto kong iwasan si Greg. I'm thinking kung dapat ko pa bang ituloy 'yung party for Molly.

Kapag may nakita akong bagay na nakakapag-alala sa'kin kay Molly, I'll buy it for her.

I'm walking slowly to make sure that I have the chance to see as many products as possible. At 'yun na nga, I walked pass by a kiosk where a Victoria's Secret phone case was sold. I saw the same lingerie printed on the case that reminded me of the shoot that Molly & I had.

It's a white lingerie that is designed to fit the body well. It exentuates the curves really well kaya sure akong bagay 'yun kay Molly. So I quickly went to the nearby mall so I can buy the same lingerie to give her. I bought it and stayed in the mall for a couple more hours before finally going back to the hotel.

Aren't you supposed to buy lingeries as a gift if you are either the husband or a really close friend or relative? Whatever.

"Where did you go?" Greg asked as soon as I got in the hotel.

"Just bought something for myself," I replied.

"At Victoria's Secret? Do you have a secret to tell because trust me, I won't judge you," he said.

"What? No! I just bought something for Molly. It's my present for her this weekend," I replied. Greg nodded his head.

"Let's visit the location tomorrow. I heard that they're almost done decorating it," Greg said.

"Did they really close for a couple of days just for us?" I asked.

"Yes. That's why we need to be there as many times as possible to show that we're thankful."

"Question. Do you need to tell me something? I promise I'll understand. Just tell me." Greg crossed her arms in front of his chest.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"I just think that you're hiding something from me."

"I'll tell you when I'm ready." What the actual fuck? I need to know if Greg likes Molly. All he has to do is answer with a yes or no. How difficult is that?

Annoyed with Greg, I decided to take a nice warm bath to relax myself. I have a glass of wine in my hand that relaxes me more than anything else.

I have to know kung gusto nga ba talaga ni Greg si Molly pero hindi ko alam kung paano siya dederetsahin. I don't want to hurt him dahil lagi siyang nariyan para suportahan ako. And if I have to give up Molly for him, gagawin ko. He helped me go back on my feet.

Maya-maya, nag ring ang cellphone ko. I wipe my hand and took my phone.

"Hello?"

"Reags, are you free tonight?" Molly asked.

"No, not really. Why?"

"Yayain sana kita sa pool area. Pero you sound busy kaya next time nalang siguro." I wanted to take this chance to tell her my true feelings for her. I can't wait but I also don't want to ruin my best friend's life if he really has feelings for Molly.

"Okay. Bye." I had to say no for my best friend. Medyo na-stress uli ako kaya nagsalin pa ako ng wine sa wine glass ko. Iniisip ko kung paano na ang buhay ko kapag nagkatuluyan si Greg at Molly.

Siguro kausapin ko nalang uli 'yung nameet ko sa bar kanina. Tutal she looks decent and pretty naman. She seems nice as well though medyo wild ang datingan. Pero hindi na rin masama if pag-uusapan ang wit and humor niya. Kaso the problem is I don't know where to find her.

See? This is what I hate about love. It is complicated and stressful. I just want to feel happy and contented again pero mukhang kailangan ko talagang mahirapan muna.

If Molly fails, I'll try to date Rose. If Rose fails, hindi na ako papasok sa isang relationship for the next five years. I'll stay in Italy again, spend my days working hard as fuck, and stop entertaining women. Last two chance for love and I'll decide kung tatanda na ba akong mag-isa o kung may pag-asa pa.
