Chapter 33 - The Reunion

Molly's POV*

I arrived at the hotel yesterday. Ngayon na ang debut ng kapatid ko and she still has no idea na nakauwi na ako for her debut. She's now getting ready for her party mamayang gabi.

"Anak, get ready in a few hours ha? Matatapos na ayusan si Missy for her shoot."

"May shoot pa siya ngayon? Eh 'di ba tapos na po ang pre-debut shoot niya?" I asked.

"Yes anak pero this is her final shoot na. Just to get clear shots of her gown and makeup for today."

"Okay po. Maliligo lang ako then mag-aantay sa message mo."

"You can stay here sa new house kasi may vacant room naman. I already asked everyone to stay away from it kasi most of my priced belongings are there," she said.

"Hindi po ba risky na nandiyan ako agad?"

"No, anak. Just be very careful when you're about to go here kaya bilisan mo na diyan para habang nag shoshoot si Missy makapag pahinga ka na rito."

I hang up the phone. I quickly took a bath and disguised myself as a waitress para hindi niya mahalata na ako 'yun.

I arrived at the venue pretty early. I grabbed my mom's arm to tell her that I need to go to the room where I'm going to hide and get ready.

"Why are you grabbing me like that?" She furiously asked. Hindi niya nga pala alam na nag-disguise ako.

"Ma, relax. It's me, Molly," I whispered.

"Ma, are you okay?" Missy asked from the balcony where she was taking photos.

"Yes, 'nak. I am okay. Nagulat lang ako."

"Ano ka ba naman kasi? Why didn't you tell me na magsusuot ka ng ganyan?"

"I'm sorry, ma. Pero saan po ba 'yung room? Bring me there asap para hindi na maghinala si Missy."

My mom guided me to the room. The room is huge. It has its own mini kitchen and everything. I wonder bakit hindi ito ang kinuha nilang room for Missy where she's supposed to get her hair and makeup done or mas maganda pa 'yung kabila?

This is the new house that my dad bought. It's huge and majestic. It has a gigantic pool and backyard where everyone can party. It really is perfect for Missy's party.

Maya-maya pa, dumating na 'yung makeup artist na mag-aayos sa'kin.

My hair is nicely curled, my lips are painted red, and my body is nicely hugged by a mermaid dress.

I am excited for my sister's debut. Finally pwede ko na siyang isama sa mga 18+ na lugar.

I can hear the music from downstairs. They're doing the traditional debut party. I am just watching them from the room's window until matapos ang 18 roses.

I am one of the 18 treasures. Everyone is busy watching the video I prepared. Akala nila my wish is through the video lang tapos ang gift ay to follow nalang. Little did they know, I am about to come out.

I have the car keys in my hand. It has a bow that makes it look fancy.

"So here's my gift for you. Wait mo nalang 'yung mag-aabot." It's my queue na lalabas na ako.

I slowly walked out of the door. Everyone's face is in shock. Missy's eyes widened.

"Ate!" She yelled happily. I rushed to where she's sitting and gave her a tight hug.

"Surprise!" I said.

"Ate, why are you here?" She asked.

"Birthday gift ko sa'yo." Missy gave me a tight hug once again.

"My message for you is already heard by everyone through that video. I just want you to know how much I love you. You are one of the reasons why I work hard. Thank God you're kind and respectful. Kaya ito gift ko sa'yo."

"Car keys?" She asked.

"Yes."

"You bought a car for me?"

"Yes."

"Thank you so much ate!" She happily said.

"Teka lang, may surprise din kami sa'yo anak," mom says on the mic as she walks towards the stage where Missy and I are sitting.

"Seryoso ka ba, ma? Ibigay na muna natin 'tong moment na 'to for Missy."

"Okay, mga anak. Savor the moment."

"So everyone let me bring Missy sa kanyang new car, okay? Let's go, Missy. I'll show you what I bought for you."

Slowly, Missy and I walked towards the car that was parked in our garage. I talked to my cousin to park it there once the program started para hindi mahalata. Missy ran towards it and attempted to hug it. It is her dream car and she was so excited to test it.

"Mamaya na 'yan. Let's go back kasi there are more surprises!" My mom said excitedly. Lahat kami nagsibalikan sa kani-kanilang upuan.

Mom waved her hand to the tech booth. Everyone started locking their eyes on the huge screen behind us.

A video of Reagan started playing. I don't know what to feel. Ano'ng surprise ba ito? May gift ba na ibibigay sa'kin? Saka bakit ngayon pang birthday ni Missy?

"Please turn around in 5 seconds," Reagan said sa video.

Five seconds have passed. I slowly turn around to see what's behind me.

It is Reagan with two bouquet of flowers in his arms. He handed the bigger one to Missy, and the other one to me.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Surprise. My team here sa Philippines ang assigned for Missy's photo and video. Ayos ba?"

"Thank you so much, Kuya! I really wished your team would be assigned for today. Akala ko ibang team 'to," Missy said.

"I talked to your mom a few weeks ago. Naayos namin agad thankfully. Thank her for all the efforts she's done for the two of you."

Mom catched everyone's attention.

"Ehem, excuse me po sa inyo. This is Reagan, Molly's boyfriend. He's a photographer sa Vogue Italia and is the one who took photos of us nu'ng anniversary namin. Together with his closest friend, they managed to start a photography and videography business in the Philippines. I am beyond proud of my new found son!"

I can see the spark in Reagan's eyes. Everyone is still in shock of what happened. I am beyond thankful for this.

"Balik na tayo sa program? Masyado na tayong gambala sa debut ni Missy," I jokingly said.

Gi-nuide kami ng isang waiter sa isang bakanteng table and chairs. I gave Reagan a kiss.

"Thank you so much," I whispered.

"Anything for you, love."

"Paano mo 'to na pull off?" I asked.

"Nu'ng mga araw na naghahanda ka ng papers, naghanda na rin ako. I was waiting for you to say kung kailan ang flight mo. I even asked your mom to help me."

"This has got to be the best gift ever. Hindi ako 'yung may birthday pero sobrang napasaya mo 'ko."

"Anything for you, love," he said giving my forehead a kiss. 

Nagtuloy-tuloy na ang event. All her closest friends are here and it's about time to enjoy the pool.

"Love, I'm sorry I have to go rest. Medyo nahihilo ako," Reagan said while massaging his head.

"Okay, love. Hatid na kita."

I let Reagan rest on the bed. He seems so tired and sleepy. Humiga ako sa tabi niya at saka siya binigyan ng kiss sa labi.

"I love you," I whispered gently. Reagan faced me and grabbed me by my waist. I rested on top of him staring at his sparkly eyes.

"I love you too," he said with his eyes closed.
