CHAPTER 14

★★JAYDEN★★

         I drove speedily back with my eyes almost closing all the time. I haven't slept the whole night, driving here.

       Wow, the whole house is so clean, except my room. cheers to me, I got a new helper, plus she pays for her stay.

    And who says I want to settle down? Pish...! I'll always be like this, a sick me.

        I crashed on the bed, folded like a baby then slept...

      ★★BELLA★★

       I woke up to an empty house, he already left like a ghost. Keys were tied to my wrist, even though he asked me not to enter his room, he came in mine.

        I had a quick bath and did all the chores, plates that looks like they haven't been washed for a week were lying on the kitchen cabinet. Dirty boy!...

        Today, the weather feels so dull, like it wants to rain.  I walked on foot to the restaurant. "Good morning madam! Good morning zio!" I greeted and walk pass them.  Bruno was repairing the oven, he has a hard face.

      "Good morning Bruno..." I greeted him In a low tone. He didn't reply.
I walked pass him, the orders were dropped on the board, I unpinned them and started to stare at it.  "Wow, so much orders?"

      "So... you now have live with a man, is he your boyfriend?"

        "Yes..." I say.
"I mean no..." I sighed.
"We share the rent, he's not my boyfriend..."

        "Bella, how are you sure he won't harm you? He's a normal man right?"

      "He won't... Ever..." I put my face down, letting my front hair cover my sad face. "I'm ugly remember? He doesn't have a special taste, especially not in ugly girls like me."

        Bruno footstep thickened. "Bella..." He tried to hold my shoulder.

       "Bruno don't-!" I stop him.

      "OK. Bella, you're a very beautiful girl, physically and at heart... Don't listen to people OK..."
Look who's telling Me?

       "Bella, men are always like that, they think with their lower body...  I'm so sorry for what happened Bella, I made a huge mistake, if you can give me a secojd chance, I'd be so glad. I want to take you to see the world, I've gathered a lot of money for my family." He smiled "we should go on a family Trip sometimes."
   
       "I've not think of it yet, I have to make a right decision so I don't regret my life. I hope you can understand...??" I tell him.

     "Pls Bruno, give me space to think OK?" He nod and quietly walked away.

        My head feels messy. What will he be doing? Is he back...?? He walks around like a ghost, I've never seen him working. I remember him and that girl from the bottles store, I feel disgusted... He's so arghh...!

         Someone walked in the shop. I come out from the kitchen to greet the person, it was her... Unexpectedly. She's staring at me like am dirty...

       "Oh... Bella, you work here?" Like she doesn't know where I work.

      "I thought you got fired... Anyways, it's so h
Good you still have a job sis, otherwise what other decent job can you do...?" I feel like hitting her on the face. I don't live with them anymore.

       "What's your order?" I asked her.

     "What do you think boys like eating the most?" She asked. I don't reply.

         Madam Serena came over... "Good afternoon..." She greet bowing her head down a bit... "How can our stall serve the young lady?" They both walked away... The only thing I heard was, we have a special custard...
After that, I could not pick anything more.

         She left in a while. Where's she going, she doesn't have a present boyfriend? She's a whore. Sorry for my tongue.

      Evening time, I got out of the store, I was heading home. I saw his car packed outside...

        "I'll take you home" he said. 

        "You didn't just come all yw way here to take me home did you?"

       "You're not so special are you?" He asked. "Anyway, I had some work close by, I decided to be of help than let you die in loneliness while walking home." He opened the door.  And I got in through the other side. The back seat was filled with load Of alcohol.
   
        "By work you mean, that girl from the bottles store?"

       He smiled. "First day of your stay, you're already monitoring me? So bad... You could die you know?"

    He started the engines. "Bella, don't you want to find out who killed your parents?" Why that question?

        "No..." I put my face Down as the memories of the past few years flash In my head. "He deserved it a long time ago, karma just caught up with him now."

       "Why does he deserved death...?"

       I didn't want to answer that, but his face was so serious and anxious.

        "He killed my mother" I say. Tears drop from my eyes as I remember how he and Lisa made my dead mother a fool.

        "Why didn't you kill him then?" He suddenly ask...

      I open my eyes widely, staring at him. He's not serious right? He stopped the car, we're still far from home.

        "Come out kid, looks like you have been alone all your life." He got a drink from the back seat and open it.

     "What are we doing?" I ask.

         He sat on the car "tell me your story, if It can make you feel Better".

     "Ok... "I say and sit slowly. "Tell me about yourself" he said.

        "My name is Bella-"

       "Don't tell me your name, I know that, tell me another thing."

       "I'm 21years old..."

       "Shut up-" he interrupted. "You can't be 21, you're 18 or 17" he said and ruffle my hair.

       "I am, I'm not a kid, even though I look like one". I paused my lips for a while before speaking "I didn't complete my schooling because I was the one paying my fees and it was so hard caring alone" I want to cry more... I collected the drink and swallowed a big gulp. Almost vomit... He pat my back...

       "Don't drink this, I won't be there if you choke...!" He collected the drink from me.
