I Stood beside my father's bed as the doctor, who was called over spoke. "Madam," he started, looking directly at my mother who's eyes were teary. "He is paralyzed I'm afraid to say. I think he was poisoned, not in the last two days though, like a slow poison. Although i tried to detect the actual poison used, but it's a smart case, the person was so wise not to let him get to this state in a week or two." He sighed, wiped his face with his hand out of frustration as he was also confused. "I think it's the work of some sort of poison, since he never reacted earlier to this poison, it was impossible detecting it I'm sorry. You'll have to take him to Japan for treatment, some local temple i will direct, this poison is spreading slowly, but destroying more" he continued.
I looked at my helpless father on the bed, his mouth is twisted, like one part is toothless, his neck bent to the side, he can only rotate his eyeballs in fear. Looking at my mother, she was more than worse, the whole night is destroyed.

"I will take him to Japan doctor." I volunteered like there was another person to do it other than me. "Just text me the address," i turned to Gabriel, "you prepare the first flight for tomorrow." I slowly put my hand on my mother's shoulder, "it's gonna be alright, you don't worry, I'm here OK?" She nod slightly, biting her lips and trying to hide the tears that continuously flowed down her cheek.

After the doctor was done, i decided to escort him outside, coming back in, i saw my mother on the phone.

"I don't care where you are, I'm ordering you, COME BACK! I won't repeat myself." Was that last thing she said before hanging up.
"Mom, who's that?" I asked her.
"You elder brother." She replied and walked away. Don't know what she needs him for.
I picked my phone to call Bella... No matter how much i keep on calling, she kept on making the call busy.

"Bella pick up, my life is more than this childishness of yours." I murmured. I called Gabriel next, he said he hasn't seen her the whole night, his stammering, made me know he was lying, even though he bluntly refused to tell me her whereabouts.
Before i leave, i have to check on my father, i walked to his room, closing the door softly after getting in, luckily, my mom wasn't in.

"Hey Dad." I greeted, making my presence known. I took the small space on the bed, closer to him and relaxed my aching butt. "You know, we haven't talked for a while, and this had to happen." I sighed as i spoke. "I never believe i was a child of this family, not until now." His brow relaxed. Since he can't speak, i take his every movement to means something. "Dad, did you have any ideal of who did this?"
My father focused his gaze on our family portrait hung on the wall... I looked closely at the portrait, still not understanding what he meant. "What are you saying?" I asked him again, this time, he focused his attention on Jeremy who already arrived in the room.

"Haaaa..." Jeremy sighed, walking closer to my father's bed. Dad was looking straight into his eyes as i could see, even though he avoided eye contact with my father. "I should leave now." I told Jeremy and got up to leave the room.

"Gabriel, now you'll tell me where Bella is. Don't get me worse." I told Gabriel over the phone.
"Boss, I dropped her home, but she's not there. I honestly don't know where she went, and also, i tried calling her." He said.
"It's alright then... I will search for her." I told him before hanging up the call.
I guess I'll have to go back to get Bella.
I took a peep on my mom's room, she was sitting close to my father, they are in a good condition... Not actually good, but- i guess they are alright, as she is giving him some gossip.
I made my way out to search for Bella at our old house.

★★BELLA★★

"Stupid bastard. Old and ugly. Just because I'm being so nice. I should have thought you a lesson." I murmured on my way home, cursing Jayden for his actions. Am i not important at all? I regret agreeing to accompany him, i should have guessed nothing good will come out of tonight. kicking a hard rock, "ouch! Shit!" I screeched.
"Aish, this bastard, i won't forgive him." I hold my head as soon as the memory of this evening replay in my mind. I hold my torn dress properly, with his jacket on me, watching the cab man as he left. Luckily, i collected the keys and left before Gabriel could stop me.
I fixed the key in the hole, twisting the door knob along.
"My house..." I looked at the ceiling in admiration, like I've never been here... Whereas, it's just a sigh of contentment.

I switched on the lights, started to open the windows when i got another call from him. I declined the call and put the phone in the drawer, seeing it will make me more sick of myself, as my eyes are already purple and bulgy.

The next moment, the door opens and he rushed to me, hugging me from behind and exhaling on my shoulders, like he just came from marathon, he asked, "Why did you come here? I've been searching for you!"

I slowly removed his fingers from my waist, one by one, i lifted his fingers off. "Bella, why are you doing this?" He asked the angry me.

"I'm not doing anything, you made mistakes, not me." I sighed slowly... "How's your Dad?"

"Bella," He faced me and cupped my cheek. "I will come back soon ok?"

"Where are you going?" I asked him. These days, our lives are getting worst, Some stuff always spoil our happiness.

"I'm taking my Dad out of the country." He sighed, pinched his nose before saying, "Bella my Father is paralysed, he is helpless and i feel so bad for him. I hope you support me. Cause you have to love my family to love me."

I can't help but feel sad for him. What he has to go true, I can feel the pain in his eyes. "OK then. I will be here, he has to get better first." I rub my palm on my laps, feeling like a fool and embarrassed for blaming him.

We both sit outside, on his car with him telling me the plans he has for both our futures, and by early morning, he left.
