||3RD POV||

She had an earpiece in one of her ears as she drove down the highway, her helmer protected her head and face from the harsh winds as she speeds through packed cars. "I'll be there in a few minutes," She stated through the earpiece and she heard Ukai tell her with a sigh, "Sorry for the short notice, Kurosawa-san, but we really need you at the moment." She hums as she slipped through vans, trucks, and many more vehicles, "Whatever, it doesn't matter, Coach. Besides, I'm only flying to Russia next week and coming back a day before prelims." She turns into the fork of the road as she revved the bike to go faster, trying to save time since she didn't want to be late.

After thirty minutes or so, she arrived by the familiar school and poorly parked the bike. She jumped off it as she turned it off, she took her helmet off as she sprinted to the gym. She skids across the ground as she rounded a corner with full speed and runs with her slender legs towards the gymnasium. Once there, she slams the door open and greets everyone, who flinched at her surprising arrival, "I have safely arrived! Sorry for intruding!" Quickly, she bowed before trotting towards Karasuno but she was stopped by two figures standing in front of her with wide arms and sheepish smiles.

She rolls her eyes as she hugged Kuroo and Bokuto, who both giggled to themselves as they squished her. She slipped through them after a while and went to her team who greeted her with smiles and greetings. She was speaking to Ukai, Takeda and the managers with a stern look on her face, the rest watched how she spoke to them, a few heard pieces of the conversation, "I'm flying to Russia... Please contact... I won't be back before..." She paused as she heard her name being called and raised a brow when Kuroo motioned her over.

With a curious yet suspicious look on her face, she walked towards him and she could see him snickering slightly. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders while escorting her to the others who stared with amused eyes, he started to talk to her with a wide smirk, "We need a pretty lady to help referee or you could, you know..." He leaned closer as he purred into her ear, "Play with us?" She gagged and the rest laughed at her reaction, she pushed his face away while retorting with a disgusted expression, "No thanks. I'd rather do the referee thing since I've studied it for years now."

Akaashi gives her the whistle with a slightly flustered look when he noticed how the thin yet noticeable eyeliner she had on, she thanked him as she took the whistle from his hand. She started refereeing the game and saw Tsukishima join, she raised a brow but shrugged it off as she continues doing her job. She blew the whistle as one of them won the set, she motioned with her arms that the game has finished and they were panting from the game. Lev was face first on the ground as sweat pooled around him and she snickered a bit as she glances at him. Out of nowhere, Bokuto placed her over his shoulder while exclaiming as he sprinted off with her, "Off we go to sleep!"

||TIME SKIP||

The next morning, she was standing next to Yachi with an oversized black shirt and volleyball shorts, her hair was in a messy ponytail and the blonde notices the brown roots appearing from her black hair. The ravenette was writing down how their progress was going and shakes her head with an amused look when she saw Hinata and Kageyama's failed attempt of the quick. She snickered a bit when she heard Kuroo scold Lev on the other side of the gymnasium, she noticed how fixated Tsukishima was on them and she smirked as she mutters to herself, "Oya? Is the youngster seeking help...?"

As the days passed, they went separate ways and she told them that she would only be back the day before prelims. At the moment, she was at the airport with her business uniform on and she tugged her bag to the plane. She greeted the hostess with a bow and she returned it while gushing about her appearance. She was seated at the window and looked out of it as they got everything prepared, people started filling up seats around the aircraft and she heard someone sit next to her.

In the corner of her eye, she noticed that the male was wearing a white surgical and she bowed her head when he rose a brow at her when he caught her glance. Sheepishly, she smiled before taking out her computer as she got comfortable. She didn't notice how the male watched how she opened programs that he has never seen in his life and how she worked or typed numbers with so much speed, his eyes couldn't stay with it. Graphs, paperwork, documents, and many more were present on the screen and his eyes look at her face. He felt a shiver run down his spine a bit when he saw how her eyes were so focused and dark as they flickered across the screen.

After a while, the plane was in the air and the chattering of passengers was heard. Occasionally, the male would glance at the screen or at the young yet fully matured female who was clearly going on a business trip. He could hear her frustrated sighs or groans from time to time, she would grit her teeth or scrunch up her nose in a cute yet angered manner. He broke his eyes from the screen and looked at the other passengers who were chatting, he never did like crowds or loud spaces and the female next to him noticed that trait from the moment he sat down next to her.

She froze her movements when an air hostess called out to the teen, "Ms. Kurosawa, we would like to thank you, a higher-up from the Kurosawa family who provides planes and many more, for taking out aircraft to Russia, Moscow." Slowly, she closed the laptop and turns towards the voice, the male leaned back and avoided them. She looked at the smiling hostess who held out a bottle of wine to her with a tall glass. She blinked a few times as she stared at the drink and stated as she leaned back, "I would like one glass, the rest I would like to be saved for later. Thank you for your kindness."

Happily, the air hostess poured a glass for her and hands it to her before helping the rest of the passengers on the plane. She sighs as she looked at the drink in her hand, murmured as she looks out of the window, "Father must have informed the pilot I would be on board..." He watched how she took a sip from the drink and spoke out of nowhere, surprising them both, "Are you perhaps that famous volleyball player from France?" She froze midway from her drink and turns towards him with a raised brow, he had a blank face as he stared at her but inside, he was a mess when he saw the true color of her irises.

She placed the glass down as she answered with a grin, "Fortunately, yes. But, not for long." He raised a brow at her words and she explained in a hushed tone as she leaned back in her seat, "I'm planning on quitting my career somewhere this year or so." Taken back and a bit disbelief, he stared at her with wide eyes and agape mouth but she couldn't see with the mask that he wore.

She snickered a bit while folding her hands over the laptop that was on her lap, her voice was light and it soothed him in a manner, "Many would have that reaction if they heard one of the top 3 volleyball players would be retiring." She took a long sip from the glass and her eyes gleam as she glanced at his silent form, her voice was soft and velvety as she continued, "Besides,

Even a fallen angel needs to take a break from tugging at the chains that keep her bond."
