CHAPTER 14: RIVAL

She was getting worried at the thought of Hinata surpassing her in volleyball and she started tapping her fingers against her thighs as a bit from her anxiety. She sighed when Hinata received the serve with his face again and she couldn't help but pity him but she understood why it happened and she had her fair share of that in the past. She snickered when Tanaka and Nishinoya were hyped as they said in sync, "Yes! Yes! Yes!" She bit back a chuckle when she saw Kageyama's face when he tossed a bit too high for Hinata who still managed to get a point with the weak spike he made.

But, it ended when she saw who was at the net and she started to worry for the orange-haired teen who stared at him. Kuroo said something to piss Hinata off and she mutters to herself with a crooked grin, "Must have mentioned something about height." She watched how Kageyama tugged Hinata away by his collar and Kuroo sends her a wave, she waves back with a grin but she could see that his eyes were flickering over her body. She narrowed her eyes at him as she lowered her hand and he gives her a smile before looking at the duo. He had a serious look in his eyes as he held his arms in the sky, ready to stop any spike that comes his way.

Suddenly, she noticed the attack they were using and she uttered out in disbelief, "Back row attack...? Shit..." Luckily, Hinata received the spike with his face again and she says with a face with relief, "Thank god that Hinata received that with his face." Kiyoko looks at her with a confused look but shrugged at the rednette who sighed out of bliss and continued to watch. "An A quick," She stated when Kuroo spiked the ball in their side and she had a frown on her face as she started to doubt that they were going to win this set. She whistled lowly when she noticed how Kuroo timed his timing with the spike he did to avoid the blockers and she thought to herself, 'What the fuck? These guys are interesting...'

She saw how the Nekomata smirked at them and got up, she cracked her fingers as she stood to be in the game, catching everyone with surprise. She stood next to Hinata and whispered to him, "Hinata, let me take this round." He nods when he felt her aura change into something that he had only seen once when he watched one of her matches a year ago. Before she could get into the game, Nekomata called time and she scowled, catching them off guard as she sneered while glaring at him, "He's seriously pissing me off with his timing..." Daichi chuckled at her and watched how Tsukishima went to tease her and her reactions were hilarious.

She got to Hinata's position and breathed out a long breath, she made eye contact with Kuroo and she smirked when he raised a brow at her. The round began and she jumped into the air, she saw how three blockers were in front of her but she was above them with how she was. Kageyama sends her the toss he wanted to send her and she slammed the ball into their side, catching them off guard as they watch how the ball bounced off the floor and back into the air. Silence erupted around the gymnasium but she spoke as she rolled her shoulder, "Aish, it's being a while since I spiked, I really need to work on them to get them to how it was before I graduated..."

Kenma stared at her with wide eyes as he saw the same wings on her back with the crown, he didn't want to blink or otherwise, the picture disappears and he wanted to crave it into his mind. He looked away when she looked at them and he felt his heart skip a beat at the thought of her being this powerful if she says that this isn't her fullest potential. Kuroo stared at her and taunted as he looked down at her, "Ne, LittleAngel, are you getting old?" She got irked at him and was about to retort but she got tugged away from him, she sticks her tongue at him as he snickered at her.

She was next to Tanaka as they were going to block but she stood back when Kenma did a feint, quickly, she struck her foot to the side and saved the ball, unluckily, it bounced up to their side and landed out of bounds. She sighs when she heard the whistle go off and she noticed how quiet it got, she looks around and saw how everyone stared at her. She shrugs as she questioned with a sheepish look, "What? Never seen someone save a ball with their foot??" Karasuno shakes their heads at her while Nekoma celebrated for the point but they were restless.
