||3RD POV||
Tension grew between the ex-lovers and other players on the court noticed that almost instantly. Toshi narrowed his eyes at the silent male on the opposite side of the net and muttered as he rolled down his sleeves as he tore his dark eyes away from the broken male, "At least hide the fact that your heart broke, Gabriel..." Suddenly, a high-pitched voice stated and he held back the urge to roll his eyes as the figure got seated next to him, "You say that but here you're sitting with a frown on your face, Toshi." The figure was a female who looked almost identical to the female playing on the court however her eyes are a shade of dark grey and her hair was a soft shade of brown, her attire was a crimson off-shoulder long-sleeved shirt and a long black silk skirt with stockings and heels. She was clearly prepared to come here with how detailed her makeup and accessories were.
"...Why are you here, Yuriko?" Toshi questioned as he gave her a side glance while his fingers unconsciously clenched around the small box in his left hand that was hidden inside of his trench coat. Kamiya Yuriko, she is Toshi's arranged marriage fiance. As an answer, she points at the match happening in front of them and the crowd around them roared when the female on the court earned a point for her team, her lips turn into a bored grin but her eyes gleamed with interest as they land on the silent male, "The reason is obvious, Toshi. I'm here to check that Gabriel doesn't break into millions of pieces." His teeth grit against each other at her words and he hid the fact that he disliked her answer as he spoke, "I still don't know why he interests you." She retorted with a cheeky expression as her eyes snap towards him, "The same goes with you with Aya-san."
He flinched at that and muttered as a bead of sweat formed on his forehead while his thumb was caressing the small box, "Touche..." Meanwhile, the said female, who was being mentioned by the loveless couple in the stands, sneezed loudly as she stood at the backline. William stated with a smile as he heard her sneeze and gave her a thumbs up when the whistle went off, "Bless you, Blackbird! And give them a godlike serve!" She nods as she ignored that someone was talking about her and her cat-like eyes analyze the court. It was like a computer system inside of her mind as she started to think of the possible outcomes since she already got used to the opponents' playing style, 'If I hit the ball between number 7 and number 9, they would avoid it since their libero would bt the one to save them. Hitting it between Gabriel and Ange is a bad idea. So...'
She threw the ball upwards and the light outlined it as she looked up at it, it reflected inside of her eyes and her irises turned into slits as her heart pumped inside of her head. Her feet moved as if time was slowing down and her arms were stretched out behind her as her face turned relaxed for the first time that day. She paused and heard the squeak of her soals when she bent her knees and leaped into the air. As the ball was in her reach, she locked eyes with the opponents' number 6 at the backline and her voice echoed through her mind, 'Number 6 is the perfect person to aim for since I noticed his receiving technique isn't excellent, meaning he's new to his position.'
Her hand acted as a whip as she felt the burning sensation of the ball on her palm. Seconds later, the ball landed next to him and his hair fluttered as the swirling wind passed him. His fingers twitched as his body registered what happened and the whistle echoed around the court as the crowds roared. She landed on her feet with a sigh but choked when Christopher slapped her back as he exclaimed with a flowery aura, "Job bonum, mel! Vos vere ostendit illos id quod facere potest!" Meanwhile, Lorenzo and Ryoto had dark auras around them while Antonio tried to pull Christopher away from the female which started a small argument between the two. William was boosting off her confidence as he spoke of how impressed he was with the serve and that made her cheeks turn red as she started to get shy and flustered. Suddenly, her eyes turned dull while her smile dropped as a dark aura formed from across the net.
Gabriel had a glare on his face as sweat dripped down his temple and he was slightly panting, his fingers were unclenching from his fists and closing, causing his knuckles to turn milky white. He tilted his head as he sucked in a breath and a loud crack was heard across the court, he rolled his shoulder as he tilted his head to the opposite side and another crack resonated. His locks covered his eyes gently and he gave off a sinister smirk as his eyes lightened up with ill intent, he lifted his hand and motioned towards her with his fingers; 'Come at me with all you've got, honey.' The boys had dark yet protective auras around them as Gabriel appeared to be more of a threat to her than them, however, they were taken back when she sighed as her shoulders relaxed and spoke with a determined expression, "All right, boys, it seems that Gatekeeper is giving permission to take on his little game."
They all straightened their postures and agreed with determined yet dark expressions as the whistle blew, "Right, Captain!" They returned to their positions and she started at Gabriel, who held the ball in his hands as he stood at the backline with his hair covering his eyes while his lips were in a thin line. She was at the backline with William and Ryoto while Lorenzo, Antonio, and Christopher were at the front line. Suddenly, a shiver ran down her spine when Gabriel threw the ball up into the air and made eye contact with her. Her breath hitched when the spinning ball was in front of her face and it inched closer with a passing second and she couldn't do anything but think while closing her eyes as she accepted her fate, 'So he wanted to do this again...? How convenient...' She stiffened when she heard the ball make contact with flesh and bounce on the other side of the net.
Silence erupted around them and she slowly yet carefully opened her eyes which widen when she saw the figure with his right arm stretched out in front of her. His skin started to turn red from the harsh impact and he slowly looked over his shoulder at her as he spoke with a black expression yet his eyes showed that he was in pain, "You're not hurt, are you, Amore?" Speechless, her mouth was opening and closing without words leaving her lips and her wide eyes stared at Lorenzo who straightened his posture, showing his true height to others as his emotionless eyes grew dark to the point that it looked like he wanted to murder someone. Possibly, that someone would be Gabriel who only rolled his shoulder from the ace serve he did a moment ago.
Meanwhile, the reporters spoke as their eyes flickered between the Italian male and french/Russian male, "It seems that Gabriel Martin, number 3, has done his well-known attack 'Grim Sword' on the beloved captain of 'The Sins' and Lorenzo Malta, number 11, has luckily saved his captain, Kurosawa, from an injury which could cause a disruption to the match." During the commentary, Hinata and Kageyama glanced at the court next to them and noticed how Antonio was squishing her cheeks as she was trembling and breathing heavily. Worried, he tried to comfort her from getting a panic attack but they all froze when a yelling voice echoed from the stands, "AYA! DESTROY GABRIEL'S ASS BEFORE HE DOES IT TO YOU AGAIN!! AND I KNOW THIS BAD TIMING BUT I WANT TO PROPOSE TO YOU AFTER THIS TOURNAMENT!"
That comment started a riot when everyone saw who it was and Gabriel knew that was a sign of war for her love...
