CHAPTER 27: MOONRISE

||3RD POV||

She sighs as she leans against her seat, her eyes flicker around as she was parked in Karasuno's parking lot. It's around 10 PM or so and she was notified that the team is leaving in the middle of the night, her stuff was packed and stuffed in her trunk. She was in some sweatpants and an oversized shirt that she borrowed from her brother, her hair was a mess and she yawned loudly as music the car. She started her car and drove towards them, she turns the car while rolling down her window, the team stares at her as she spoke with a yawn, "Anyone wants to drive with me?" They heard the krnb music play from the radio and they glanced at each other, in the end, they insisted that they drive on the bus since they want her to enjoy her alone time in her car.

She understood while nodding her head, she rolled up the window and watched how they got into the bus. Slowly, she shifted gears as she drove after them, she didn't speed or drive slow, she was in the speed limit as she drummed her fingers against the steering wheel as she listened to the songs that escaped the radio. After a few hours of driving, the sun came up and she felt her skin get warm underneath the hoodie, she steadies the wheel with her knees as she quickly stripped herself out of it. She was only in her sports bra and she bopped her head to the radio, soon, they arrived at their destination. They parked the bus next to the stairs while she had to park next to the other buses since there wasn't a space next to Karasuno's bus.

She changed in her car and yawned as she neatens her white-gold tracksuit, she left her hair as it is and opened the door. She stepped out while taking out her keys, she closed the door once she was out and heads towards her trunk that was in front of the car. She opened it and took her duffle bag out, she places it over her shoulder while shutting the frunk. She locked her car as she walked away with a tired look in her eyes, she waved at Karasuno as she was a few feet from them. She raised a brow when she saw Nekoma stare at her, out of nowhere, she was in the air as Kuroo held her like Simba.

Playfully, she made paws with her hands as she stated with a grin, "Meow." It was silent but a few blushed at her and Kuroo started to pamper her with compliments and she only stared at him with a deadpanned expression. She walked next to Kageyama who looked like he was still asleep and she could see that he was thinking, she snickered a bit at him. Her brows were sprung up when Lev waved at her and started to talk to Hinata. She shrugs as she followed the rest towards the gymnasium, once there, they got geared up and she was the only one who didn't have a numbered vest over her white shirt that was slightly tight.

"All right. We're gonna switch out members constantly this time around, so be prepared," Ukai said to the team, they replied as they looked at him, "Right!" She tied up her messy hair into a ponytail and noticed two familiar people waving at her from the other side of the court. Her mood brightened a bit as she waved back, she was next to Yachi since she wasn't going to play this round. She deadpanned as she faceplanted to when Kageyama's toss was too short for Hinata, she bit back a laugh at his embarrassed face as he apologized. 

Her eyes were on the ball as the match continued, but now, the toss was too fast for Hinata. She was surprised when Hinata saved it with his left forearm as he descended, she watched how it barely went over the net, earning a point. Asahi served but it went out, she smiled when she heard him tsk from where she stood. At this point, she was leaning against the wall with a dead look on her face as they weren't in sync at all. She kept muttering which caused Yachi to flinch and stare at the female, "What happened when I was gone...? They can do it if they try... They can do it if they try..."

Yachi was shaking the female who even got more gloomy when Nishinoya jumped too far when he did a libero jump, she snaps her head at Kiyoko as she panicked for the brunette, "Kiyoko-senpai! We've lost Aya-kun to her gloominess!" As Fukurodani won the set, she watches how the team ran up the grassy hill as punishment. Bokuto appeared from behind her, scaring her slightly, she looked at him with wide eyes as she blushed out of embarrassment to which he laughed too. Akaashi stood next to her which made her yell in surprise when he also appeared out of nowhere, she slapped their shoulders as she scolded them with a flushed face, "Don't do that again!"
