CHAPTER 9: THE GREAT KING

||3RD POV||

She raised a brow when she girls scream and looked at the source, an older guy, maybe a second or third year, walked into the gym. She rolled her eyes at him when he waved at the girls above them and she glanced at Kageyama when she saw his reaction. Her lips were in a frown as she thought to herself in distaste, 'This guy is bad news...' She flinched back when his eyes fell onto her and she looked away as she walked towards the team, she could feel his eyes on her body and goosebumps formed on her exposed skin. "Kageyama," She called out when she was a foot from him, she points at the chocolate haired guy who was staring her down and she mutters, "Who's the creep?" Oikawa looks away from her as he started to talk to their couch.

He didn't answer her but Daichi did when he saw her expression as she glanced at him, "He's the captain of Seijoh." She looked at him in disbelief and he sighed as Kageyama spoke without tearing his gaze away from him, "Oikawa-san is a super-aggressive setter. His attack power is also probably among the top of his team." He looks at the shorter brunette who stood next to him as he stated bluntly, "And he's got a terrible personality." She grinned as she folded her hands behind her back while teasing, "You're saying that?" But he added on, "Maybe worse than Tsukishima."

She laughed but she had a scowl on her face as she said, "No thanks. I already have to deal with that salty prick, I don't want another one." They snicker at her as she pouts in despair and Tanaka asked as he looked at the brunette setter of Seijoh, "Do you know him from Kitagawa Daiichi?" He nods as he answered, "Yes. He was my senpai in junior high." Her face was blank until she frowned as she saw the said brunette wave at them while saying, "Yoo-hoo! Long time no see, Tobio-chan. So nice to see you. You still doing the King thing?" She scrunched up her nose when he sent her a wink and turned towards Kageyama as he stated, "I learned serving and blocking by watching him play. His skills are extremely high."

"Well then," She started and her eyes darken as she smirked, "How about I bring that down to the ground?" Daichi shakes his head at her and stated as he points at her, "We'll bring you in when we're in trouble." She sulks as she trots back to Kiyoko who smiles at her, she was like a child as she watches the entire game until she was switched with Tanaka when they had one last point to get because apparently, this idiot pulled someone in his arm when he spiked the ball. She was at the back and stared Oikawa down as he got onto the court, he made eye contact with her and shivered slightly but smirked as he bounced the ball onto the court a few times. 

Her eyes widen when she saw that Tsukishima was being targeted as he served and she tugged him away as quickly as she could, she bends her knees and flinches a bit when the ball made contact with her skin. The ball went up into the air as it went across the court but it was out, she releases a shaky breath as she felt her heartbeat rapidly and she couldn't hear how silent the gym was, she only heard her breathing. She sucked in a breath as she got herself together and stated with a smirk, "You ain't getting past me that easily." Oikawa stared her down as she bowed her head at Tsukishima while Daichi was scolding her, she rubbed her head slightly as she smiled sheepishly.

He glanced at his couch as he remembered what he told him, it ran through his head as he stared at the female on the court, 'She's one of the best volleyball players in the world; 'The Fallen Angel,' she originally came from France. Be careful for her.' He could see how her arms were getting a bit red from where he stood and watched how she got back in her position with a blank face as she concentrated. She was itching to step in for Tsukishima but she knew if she did it again, she would get her forearms even more injured from how powerful the attack is. She was forced to watch how the captain of Seijoh kept going for Tsukishima as he served.
