||3RD POV||
She flinched when Renjiro placed an icepack on the back of her neck as she leaned forward with her head between her knees and muttered as she felt the warm crimson liquid spill from her nostrils onto the tissues, "Hey Renjiro... I have been wondering..." He hummed with a raised brow as he pressed the icepack against the base of her neck but stiffened up at her words when she spoke while everything was blocked out around them, "Am I the villain of this game...?" He stared at her lowered head and his eyes widen when he saw tears slide down her cheeks in silence as she hid the fact that she was crying for the second time that day. With a shallow breath, he gently pats her back as he spoke in a reassuring tone but he knew his words were a lie, "No, you're not. You're the hero..." He was taken back when she retorted in a harsh manner while her muscles in her back clenched, "Stop lying to me, Renjiro. Tell me the damn truth..."
Anxiously, he bit his lip in silence and seconds passed, she was getting restless and was about to say something but his words ran through her ears like a ringing bell, "You are the villain, Aya..." Slowly, she raised her head with wide eyes and the ice pack fell to the bench as she stared at him, his messy locks covered his eyes and she only noticed the dark circles underneath them once he moved his hair away. "You are a villain," He repeated with a blank face and she felt her world crumble to the ground when he confirmed her fears, "You're the devilish villain who's leading her comrades to the throne again." Her pupils were trembling as she bit back anger along with tears and she clenched the tissue against her tissue more when he continued, "You're the leader of demon-like players who won't hesitate to follow your orders and even I'm scared of you..."
Before her world could shatter even further, her heart stopped when he added with a crooked smile as he held her by her shoulders, "But, you're the best villain. You're the bad guy, yes, however, you act like the hero, and everyone likes that. They don't know that you're the wolf in sheep's clothing." Her emotions were everywhere and it got worse when a familiar voice cooed as footsteps got closer to the bench, "Awww, it seems that the Archangel told our little Fallen Angel the truth! And I was so excited to tell her that too! Boo!" Renjiro narrowed his eyes at Chunho who was wearing Royal Brand High's volleyball advisor's uniform and he greeted him with a cunning smile but his eyes were on his twin brother who stiffened up at the sound of his voice, "Hello, Renjiro. It's good to see that you took my advice on becoming a doctor. I hope that my brother hasn't been bothering you and your sister."
Neither of them spoke and the male pouted before getting seated next to the silent female who was still in her dazed state as Renjiro's words rang through her head, he spoke as he poked at her dominant shoulder, "It seems your shoulder is good as new." She didn't give him a reaction and he felt a bit hurt by her action but left her alone and watched the match in front of them. He raised a brow when Lorenzo did a cut shot and commented as Hyonu glanced at him with cautious eyes, "It seems that Lorenzo is getting stronger and thinking with more strategy than in the past." His eyes turned dark when they landed on Gabriel, who shivered when he saw the man and narrowed his dark eyes at the player before commenting with a scowl when he noticed that he was thinner than in the past, "What the hell is going on with Gabriel, tho? He doesn't look like he was training ever since he was kicked off of the team two years ago."
He was taken back she spoke with a blank face as she pulled the tissue away from her nose when the blood stopped, "He hasn't been training since the day he fled to Russia." He raised a brow at her words but dismissed it and continued to watch the match in silence. Her eyes land on Gabriel when the whistle blew as Christopher did a slide attack and gained the point, he looked at the scoreboard with a blank look. She was taken back when tears silently slipped from his eyes as he stared at the ground in silence and she glanced at the scoreboard, her breath hitched when she read it out loud, "24:24..." Her lips trembled when she realized that they needed two more points to win this set and her fingers clenched around the bloodied tissue as she bit back tears. 'Geez, why am I so emotional today??' She thought with a smile as the tears disappeared in seconds and she relaxed when Ryoto served.
He bounced the ball as the referee blew the whistle and caught it in seconds, he spun it in his hands as he stepped back a couple of times and Chunho's eyes widen as he recognized the playstyle. Ryoto stopped in his tracks and turned around before tossing the ball upwards as he sprinted to the backline, he stopped at the line and his shoes squeaked at the sudden stop, his arms were behind his back before leaping into the air. His eyes were on the ball the entire time as his hand came down and he slammed it with all his force that he had left, the ball vibrated against his hand as it wobbled from the force before zooming over the net. It was in front of Ange's face and he moved his head to the side the second the ball was a millimeter away from touching his nose. "Holy hell," Chunho said as he stared in disbelief at the blonde's move when they earned the point from the serve and he caught the ball when he was supposed to serve again, "He copied Ange's ace serving style..."
He bounced the ball again as the referee blew the whistle and caught it before tossing it upwards, the spinning ball was reflecting in his eyes as he brought his hand back. Just like a whip, he made contact with the ball and it zoomed over the net, however, Ange received the ball with a scowl as the burning sensation erupted throughout his arms. "Gabriel, get it!" He roared as he got back onto his feet and the said male took a breath before leaping into the air. He slammed the ball with all his might downwards and Lorenzo along with Antonio froze with annoyed expressions on their faces. Her eyes went dead as she watched the ball spin in the air before landing on the ground a second time and roll away between William and Ryoto.
The referee motioned that they earned the point and Gabriel, along with the crowd on their side, roared, but only his voice rang through her ears, "Hell yeah!" However, she snapped out of her state when she heard Ukai yell from behind her, "Counter!" Immediately, she looked over her shoulder and her eyes regained life when she witnesses the scene of them attacking. "Kageyama!" Was the only thing that echoed through her ears when Hinata roared that with a wide smile, and for a second, she saw herself in him. But as soon as she turned back to her court, the ball fell at the net and they failed to receive it. She was then sent in on the court as an emergency player and she had a serious expression on her face. Once she stepped on the court, everyone shivered when she stated with a villainous smile while stretching her arms to the sides as she did a mock bow,
"You're Miss Villain is back from the dead!"
