CHAPTER 57: ANNOYANCE

||3RD POV||

She opens the door while saying with a smile, "Sorry for intruding." The nurse recognizes her and sends her a teasing look before attending Tsukishima's wounds, she was seated on a chair away from them and watched from a distance. Without taking her attention off of her work, she hands the female a mug that she used in the past, she thanks her as she took the mug from her and she continued to work on the blonde's fingers. Tsukishima wasn't paying attention to what the nurse was doing, he was focused on the female who silently drank her coffee, he noted that the females knew each other from the first glance. His eyes were taking in every detail of her appearance, the way her hair curled at the tips, and how her eyes shone as she drank the hot liquid.

It was dead quiet between them and the nurse was getting uncomfortable, her voice cuts through it like a knife as she joked a bit, "I thought it would be you who would be injured again, Ms. Kurosawa." The said female looks at the slightly older one and snickers as she placed the mug on the table next to her, she replies as she glances at the blonde who looked away from her, "Well, for the first time in my career, I was being careful and took my medication before the game but it seems my teammate was being careless." His ears perked up by the word 'medication', he gives her a side glance as she continued to make the room comfortable with how she was speaking to the nurse who was giddy and excited.

He watched how she was actually relaxed and comfy for once, ever since day one, he knew that something was up with her, how her eyes dulled ever so slightly as she looked at the gym or enter it. But, when he heard what that reporter stated on the television, he felt something boil inside of him and went to do more research about the event that occurred two years ago. He didn't sleep that night, he didn't stop reading articles about her career from the very start until the day where she and the rest disbanded. He did look at the recent articles, the ones about how a rumor was spiraling around that the legendary players would return to take over the volleyball world again, he didn't know how to feel about that.

He can't imagine how dull his life would be if she would return to the team, he hopes that it would be long before that happens. "Ne, say, what happened to your Korean friend? Is he alright since he looked so stressed in the last situation," The nurse asked as she finished taping up his injured fingers and putting ointment on the area around the skin. She sighs a bit as she tapped her fingers against the mug that warmed up her cold fingers, she tilts her head a bit as she answers her, "He's fine. I think he's glad that he doesn't have to play another set since he probably hasn't trained since the day we disbanded."

A pout was on her lips as she added on, "I swear, he's lazier than Sean. They really take every opportunity to be lazy." The nurse laughs a bit while Tsukishima stares at her with a blank stare, he opened his mouth but before the words could escape him, the door slammed open. They all look at the door with a surprised look and three people stood at the door, they all recognized each other. Before she could say anything, Sean was already in front of her and hugged her to death, luckily, she wasn't holding the mug of hot coffee. She pats him as he hugged her like an excited child and started saying nonsense, Akiteru and Yachi were talking to the nurse and Tsukishima.

Out of nowhere, the male who had his arms around her gave her an American greeting which caused her to flinch back with slightly pink cheeks. She slaps his shoulder in defeat as the others stared wide eyes, the nurse cooed to herself while Tsukishima had a dark look, Yachi and his older brother were taken back. Sean kept kissing her face with butterfly kisses and pulled away with a wide smile once he was satisfied with his actions, he pulled away and clung to her like a koala. She sighed deeply before apologizing to them while ruffling his hair, "Sorry about him. Sean gets a bit too excited when he sees me after a long time."

The nurse waves it off as she silently fangirled about the scene, this girl was so lucky to have such handsome men fall for her. Akiteru stares at how gentle she was handling the male who acted like a large puppy who was happy to see the owner after a long day of work. Out of nowhere, Sean lets go of her and stood his real height, catching everyone off guard, even Tsukishima was slightly taken back. He sheepishly smiles at her as he apologized in his native tongue, "Sorry about that. I was too excited to see you after so long, please don't be mad." She waves him off as she got up from her seat, she looks over to Tsukishima with a mischievous look in her eyes, her voice matched her eyes as she spoke, "Well, I think it's time for you to return, Kei."

He was taken back by her as she said his first name, he nods and she finished her drink in seconds. She rolls her shoulders and moved her hair a bit, but it slid back to its previous position, her eyes motion him to follow her and Sean got the signal. He looks at Yachi who flinched and he stated in sudden perfect Japanese, "We have to go back to the stands. We can watch from there again." She nods slightly and followed the male who walked slowly for her, Tsukishima's brother followed behind the two while Aya and the blonde trotted towards the court. Meanwhile, the nurse went full fangirl in her office when they were gone. Anyhow, she slowed down her trot and let him go in front of her. As soon as they ran on the sidelines, Karasuno noticed them and stared at them with wide eyes and smiles.
