CHAPTER 6: PREPARE

||3RD POV||

Her hands were on her knees as she panted, her hair was slightly wet from the sweat that dripped down her face. Sugawara stared at her with worry when he saw how tired she was but flinched when she looked at him with fire in her eyes. She straightened herself as she stated with a heavy voice, "Give me another one, Sugawara-senpai." He nods as he held another ball in his hands, his eyes linger on her as she rubbed her palms softly yet she had an aura around her that told him that she's serious. He stood by the net and she sprinted towards the net, her feet push her into the air and Sugawara felt his heart skip as he saw her form.

He sends her the toss and watched how she slammed it into the other side of the court with ease, he stared at her as she lands onto the ground perfectly. They both look where the constant sound of the ball hitting flesh was heard, Hinata and Kageyama were doing serves nonstop from 5:00 Am. They heard the door open and heard Tanaka's voice as he walked towards the two, "How long have they been at it?" She crossed her arms over her chest as Sugawara answered him, "It's been fifteen minutes since I got here." Surprised, Tanaka looks at them as he asked, "Fifteen minutes straight?" They both nod as an answer without their eyes leaving the two first years and Tanaka stared at them with wide eyes.

She zoned out as she stared at the ravenette and she was lost in her thoughts as she started to create training regiments for him. She came back to reality when she saw Kageyama toss the ball into the air and she was tempted to jump and slam it but she knew better, she watched how Hinata spiked the ball with a bright smile on his face. She smiled softly as she stared at his tired form and she heard her name being called, her eyes drift towards Kageyama who held another ball in his hands. She raised a brow at him and her body automatically went on its own when she saw him toss the ball into the air, she jumps and he saw the same wings appear on her back as she was above the net.

The sound of the ball hitting the floor filled her ears and she smiled as she landed onto her feet, she gave him a thumbs up and her smile got wider as she stated, "Thanks, Kageyama-kun. That was the best toss that I ever received from you." He felt his heart skip a beat at her words and he clenches his chest causing her brow to furrow and her eyes were filled with worry. "Hey, are you okay?" She asked as she looked at him and his head snapped towards her, causing her to flinch but he had a confused expression on his face as he said, "Yeah, just randomly got a pain in my chest." 

She nods and stated as she went to get her stuff, "Well, don't overdo it, okay? We don't want to lose you before tomorrow." They all watch how she dressed back into her white and golden tracksuit and placed her bag over her shoulder, she waved at them as she left the gymnasium while saying, "I'm leaving early since I need to go to talk to the principal. See ya guys!" They returned the gesture as they watch how she left, meanwhile, she was in front of the principal's office and opens the door when she heard him give her permission to enter. Let's just say that the principal was relieved to hear what she had to say...

She was heading to the school but heard her name being called and looked at the voice, Kageyama trotted towards her and she waited patiently as he catches his breath. He looked at her with a familiar spark in his eyes that she grew up with when she started to play volleyball, she raised a brow as he stated, "I have a question." She motions him to go on and he looked down at her as he asked, "Have you ever been abandoned by your teammates when you started your volleyball career...?" She stiffened a bit and a strained smile appeared on her lips, he noticed and felt a heavy emotion in his stomach. She answers as she laughs a bit while walking, "Countless times, that's the reason why I was giving the name; 'The Fallen Angel Of The Court.' I was the one who held the team together and did most of the attacks and defenses, they would get cocky and ignorant and bring me down..."
