She faceplants as she realized why he didn't tell her which school he went to, she blames herself for being dense. She watches how they greeted each other then Nekoma started heading towards the gymnasium and she ignored them as she helped Kiyoko carry the empty water bottles. Out of nowhere, she heard a yell and raised a brow when a second-year of Nekoma stared at them with wide yet surprised eyes. She shrugs while Kiyoko sends him a nod and they continued to their destination, not hearing the aftermath of what happened. As they entered the gymnasium, she noticed how friendly Kuroo was with Daichi and felt shivers run down her spine as she felt the aura around them change.

She placed the bag down and started to help around even though she received a lot of protests from the opposing team, she still helped them set up the net and all. Suddenly, she felt eyes on her back and she froze, with raised brows, she looked over her shoulder and saw an elderly coach staring at her with narrowed eyes. She yelped silently and sprinted back to Kiyoko with a frightened look on her face and she could hear him chuckle at her. Awkwardly, she leaned her weight on one leg as she tried to calm her nerves down with every minute passing. She heard her name being called and looks wide-eyed when she saw the opposing teams' coach call her over.

Slowly, she walked over to him and she could see how his eyes were narrowed on her figure once she was a few feet away from him, she crookedly smiled at him as she spoke, "You called, sir?" He laughed a bit and bowed his head with a wide smile on his face, "I just wanted to introduce myself to a player who has seen many games in their life, I'm Yasufumi Nekomata, the former coach of the team." She bows a bit with a grin as she straightened herself, her voice was welcoming as she spoke, "It's a pleasure to meet you, coach Yasufumi. I'm Kurosawa Aya, a first-year at Karasuno, also the strategizer and second manager of the volleyball team."

He placed his hand on her shoulder as he spoke with a smile, "I've watched your matches ever since you've started your career at Royal Brand High and I must say, your one of the best players I've ever seen in my lifetime. And please, call me Nekomata-san." Sheepishly, she spoke with tinted cheeks, "Its a privilege to hear that from you, Nekomata-san." He pats her shoulder as he added on, "When I heard that the captain and ace of 'The Saints' were graduating, I thought you were going to be at a school like Shiratorizawa or Aobajohsai. But here you are, in Karasuno." She looks at him with narrowed eyes at the tone he used when he said her current school name and she continued to listen as he commented, "I was also hoping that a powerful player as yourself would attend Nekoma but I was wrong to get my hopes up."

She heard the whistle blow and she bowed as she shrugged his hand off of her shoulder, she excused herself, "I must go back to the others but it was nice talking to you, Nekomata-san." He laughed slightly as he nod and watched how she trotted back to her team, he couldn't help but feel an intimidating aura around her ever since she walked into the gymnasium. The coaches and managers watched how the teams lined up as they greeted each other and the game started. She crossed her arms as she noticed how a few of the boys were interacting across the net, she narrowed her eyes when she watched how Kenma served the ball and her eyes never let the volleyball as it was passed around until it slammed into Nekoma's side and she had a smirk on her lips.

The whistle blew, indicating that KArasuno got a point. She, Ukai, and Takeda smirked evilly as they heard how surprised Nekomata was and she glanced at him with a proud look in her eye. But, it dropped like nothing when she saw how Kenma was observing Hinata with his catlike eyes and she felt a feeling rise from her stomach and she raised a brow when he glanced at her. Embarrassed that he got caught, he looked away from the rednette who was confused. Tanaka served and her eyes followed the ball with each movement and direction it went in, but she was taken back when she saw Nekoma's libero touch the ball from Asahi's spike but it luckily went out, giving Karasuno a point.
