||3RD POV||

She felt comfortable with how much warmth she was receiving in her sleep, she got closer to it out of instinct. She raised a brow in her sleep when she heard a soft unnoticeable groan as the warmth pulled her closer to it. Slowly, she cracked open her eyes and she was met with a sleeping face of Daichi who was clinging onto her for dear life. Gradually, she took his arms off of her waist and sat up, she felt the thin blanket drape down her body. Her tired eyes look at the window as the sound of rain filled her ears and she watched how the droplets hit the only thing that kept her dry from it entering.

As she looks around for anyone else, Daichi wrapped his arms around her waist as she sat up and glanced up at her with half-lidded eyes. She shook her head when she saw the nurse wasn't present but stiffened when she heard his tired voice, "Who are you looking for...?" She looks down at him with wide eyes and a charming smile was on his lips but her eyes were on his injured cheek. He watched how she raised her hand and touch his injury to which he slightly flinches to, she retracted her hand with an apologetic look and he sighed deeply as he sat up.

Softly, he placed her slightly cold hand against his injured cheek as he reassured, "Don't feel bad about it. We've talked about this and I don't think we want to repeat that conversation again." He watched how her face turned gentle and a grin appeared on her pinkish lips as she spoke, "I know. I'm just... I don't know." He laughed a bit at her and leaned forward while holding the back of her head, she blushed a bit when he rested his head against her forehead and stared straight into her eyes.

"W-What are you doing...?" She asked in a hushed tone and he answered with a grin, "Admiring a masterpiece..." At that moment, the rain hit against the infirmary's window harder and the blanket that covered them before was around them as they stared into each other's eyes. When she started taking her hand away from his cheek, he squeezed her hand tad tighter, keeping it there as he closed his eyes while breathing in her intoxicating scent. They sat in silence as they listened to the rain that seemed to make the moment light and rememberable to them.

Out of nowhere, Daichi pulled them both down onto the mattress that seemed to creak under them. He held onto her like she was a teddy bear and he was a small child, she was silent as she held him in her hold. Her head was on his chest as he rested his chin on top of her, he pulled the blanket over the both of them and laid in silence. After a few minutes or so, the nurse along with Yachi returns and she exclaims as she pulled the blanket off of them, "Alright love birds! You two can go back to your team and [possibly] play in a match!"

They froze when they saw in what position they were in and squealed as the nurse ran out of the room with a flustered expression while Yachi stood frozen. They both laughed a bit as they released each other, she went to get her shirt while he waited for her. He couldn't help but glance at her as she tugged the shirt over her upper body, he watched how her tattoos disappeared under the material. He coughed in his hand as she turned around and she spoke with a grin as she teased, "I could feel your glances from a mile away, Daichi-san. I can see that you want to know why I have those wings on my back."

He looked away with a bashful expression when he got caught by her and she spoke as all three of them walked back to Karasuno's team, "Well, I can give a hint on them if you want." He nods slightly and she added with a small smile while tying up her hair again, "Something to do about freedom and mindset." The gears in his head started turning to figure out what that meant and she snickers a bit when she saw the thoughtful expression on his face. They walked in comfortable silence and reached where they needed to be. They watch in silence as they played the last part of the game. Once they were finished, she waved with her right arm that was good again while Daichi rubbed the back of his neck as he said with an apologetic look, "Uh, um... I'm sorry."

All of them had a shocked expression on their faces and Sugawara along with Nishinoya attacked him with smiles on their faces as they roared, "Daichi/Daichi-san!" She stood on the sidelines with a wide smile on her face but she felt sadness in her chest that they didn't greet her like that but she understood. They spoke while she went to get her bag but before she could pick it up, Kageyama snatched it from her as the rest of the first years showered her with questions. Tsukishima stared at her with a displeased look while Kageyama glanced at her as she reassured that she was fine and ready for the next match.

They walked away and she was smiling the entire time as she talked to them, Kageyama and Hinata told her everything that she missed. She snickered a few times and pestered the ravenette on handing her bag over but he refuses and bluntly told her as he glared at her, "I'm not taking a chance. You might injure your shoulder even more if you put weight on it." She pouts as she watched how they walked away while she went to the stands where Renjiro and Kazuhiro was.

Once she was there, Renjiro hugged her while avoiding her shoulder while Kazuhiro held a bag of snacks out to her as her brother clung onto her. He released her and they were discussing somethings as she ate the small fruits and nuts that they bought her. They were worried for her, especially her shoulder but she reassured that it was fine and the swelling was completely gone. They smiled at the thought that she could play again and she looked like a chipmunk with how full her cheeks were.

She clearly didn't think that the Iron Wall would be rebuild again.
