||3RD POV||
He held his head in his hands as he sat next to her bed, he could hear her soft yet fast breathing patterns as she slept on the bed. Frustrated, he grits his teeth and growled out as his eyes darken to an extent, "I'm going to murder that bastard when I see him again..." The door opened and the nurse from before spoke with a reassuring smile when she saw the stressed-out male, "She's in a stable condition. She just overworked her body from the harsh movements that she has done in the match." He looks up at her from his seat with a tired expression, she was taken back when she saw it and he gave her pained smile, "Ah, thank you. I hope this doesn't bother you."
She huffs and scolds him as she walked towards her desk, "This is my job. I get used to it through my years and its never a bother." In the corner of her eye, she saw how his tense shoulder relaxed a bit and laughed but it was strained. She neatened the papers on the desk as he spoke, "I never thought that a sassy nurse would be able to talk like that." She shrugs as she retorted back with a small smile, "Its just my personality, many don't like it when I can get a bit too sassy but all good means well." The corner of his lips tug upwards at her words and he leaned back while playing with his hands, his head was leaned back as a slightly crooked smile appeared on his lips, "If I could, I would listen to how you sass people out from left and right."
She almost snorts at that and pulled the chair out, she sat on it as she commented, "I can just hear your snickering at my misery." He hums a bit at that and slightly taps his shoe against the floor, she glances at him and took in his features for a few seconds before taking her eyes off of the handsome male. Her voice cuts through the silence, he glances at her, "You two dating? She came in with another injured guy earlier." He looks at the sleeping female and answered with a hidden smile, "No, she's like a sister to me. We have been under each other's wings for about four years now, since we were on the same volleyball team until last year."
Intrigued, she leaned closer and listened to how he told the story, "She was the captain of 'The Saints', which changed the name into 'The Sins.' We discussed how we were going to disband and she gave the ideas that we go to the schools where we want to go, not our parents." He paused a bit and looked at her with a small smile as he recalled the past, "I went back to Seoul with two other players while two stayed in France and she came to Japan. The others went separate ways since they want their locations a secret and I don't think they want to return to play again."
The gears in her head turned with speed as she tried to comprehend what he just revealed, he smiled a bit as he added, "Oops, it seems that I accidently told someone when the team is going to regroup." Gobsmacked, she stared at him as he stood up and walked towards the door while waving his hand lazily, his voice was slightly husky as he stated, "Anyhow~ I need to take her place in her current team that seems to be in a sticky situation." He closed the door behind him and went towards the changing room, once there, he placed his duffle bag down and tugged the shirt off of him.
As he turned around to open the bag, a familiar tattoo of wings were on his bare back. He tugged the Royal Brand High and top on and placed his volleyball shorts on. He folded his clothes and placed them into his bag, his fingers rub the pads slightly before putting them onto his limbs. He puts on a black glove and clenches his hand slightly, testing to see if it still fits his hands. He nods when he saw it still does and picked up the duffle bag, he opened the door and walked towards her team was. Just as one of them was about to serve, he stepped into the open and the crowd was silent before cheering their lungs out.
He tossed the bag onto the ground with the rest as he walked towards Ukai who gulped when he saw his figure. They spoke for a few minutes and he was switched with Tsukishima who stared at him with slightly wide eyes. He stood by the net and Kindaichi gulped at the tall giant that stood a foot taller than him, his dark eyes gleamed a bit as he spoke, "A pleasure to be on the court again. I'm Park Taeyang, former middle-blocker and setter of 'The Saints/Sins.'" Kindaichi felt his soul leave his body when he realized how stronger this guy was than him. Oikawa stared at the foreigner who glanced at him before talking to Hinata who was excited to play with an elite.
Meanwhile, she rolled in her sleep before waking up with a groan. The nurse who was sipping on her coffee looks over at the female who was clearly in pain and misery, she got up and sat on the bed with an extra cup of coffee while stating in a soft tone, "Good morning, sleeping beauty. I can see that you're in pain but I need you to get some caffeine in your system." Tiredly, she nods as she raised her upper body and took the hot cup from the nurse who smiled widely when she saw the brunette smile back at her. Slowly, she took sips from it and her eyes sparkled a bit when she tasted the warm liquid.
The nurse watched her like a mother would with a child, her golden-blue eyes glanced at her before she said in a shy tone, "Thank you for the coffee. Its really nice." She hums and teased while spinning on her chair with a large smile, "Well, I usually don't share my precious coffee with anyone. Lets just say that you were an exception!" She snickers a bit at the nurse who was clearly trying to cheer the teen up, it was quiet but the sound of the chair spinning filled the silence. She stopped her childish behaviors and took a large gulp from her own cup of black coffee, the teen looked down at the slightly blackish liquid in her cup and she looked up when the nurse spoke, "You know, you're one lucky girl."
Her brows furrowed and she clutches the cup a bit as she asked, "What do you mean?" The nurse's face was filled with disbelief at how dense she was and exclaimed while thrusting her half empty cup at the brunette, "You have two handsome guys going after you! How are you so dense?!" The brunette had a deadpanned expression before it exploded into a bright red one as she tried to defend herself, "Wait! Thats not how it is! I had a feeling that the aura around them changed but--" The nurse cuts her off with a teasing look which made her gulp, she waves her finger into the air as she stated with a large grin, "So you're not as dense as I thought you were. You're trying to ignore that nagging feeling, arent you?"
She pouts a bit as she looked away from the nurse who wiggled her brows at the teen, she got the answer from the said teen and snickers a bit. She leaned into her chair and finishes her coffee, Aya does the same and places the mug on the table next to the bed. She laid back into the bed with a satisfied sigh and stared at the ceiling, the nurse noticed how quiet she went and asked while holding up a random book, "Yo, do want something to read until your foreigner boyfriend comes and gets you?" She chokes on her spit as she snapped her head in her direction and retorted while taking the book from her fingers, "He's not my boyfriend. He's just an old teammate."
As she said that, a pain hits her heart and she ignored it as she flipped through the pages.
