Chapter 12
Buong gabi, wala akong ibang inisip kundi ang usapan namin ni Axev. I still can't believe what is happening.
I can't believe I said that straight to the point. I can't believe that I admitted I like him. I can't believe I have finally come to like someone. And I can't believe he likes me too.
Honestly, I don't know what to feel. It's overwhelming because this is my first time. Not when it comes to boys but when it comes to real feelings.
Nang dumating si Tina ay 'tsaka naman umalis si Axev. Kakaiba agad ang tingin ni Tina sa akin nang mapag-isa kaming dalawa. But then, I was thankful that she didn't ask me directly. It's like she knew that I'm not yet ready for it.
"Do you want to talk about it?" Nagtaas siya ng kilay sa akin.
I bit my lip and shook my head. Tumango siya at ngumiti lang sa akin.
Kinabukasan, I met up with Chad. I initiated the meeting because I wanted to tell him personally that I'm not pushing what we started. I didn't want to prolong it. At habang nag-uusap kami ay hindi mawala sa isip ko ang sinabi ni Axev.
I thought Chad would fuss about it but being the carefree that he is...
"You want out? Isang beses pa nga lang tayong lumabas." He smirked.
I smiled a little and shook my head.
"I just don't want to prolong it kung wala naman akong balak seryosohin." Ani ko.
"Ouch. That's why they say you're a playgirl, huh." He shrugged.
Natahimik ako sa sinabi niya. Hindi naman lingid sa akin iyon. Other would even say I'm a flirt because I change boyfriends quickly. Kagaya ng sinabi ko, may mga naging boyfriend akong hindi rin interesado sa seryosohan. And some just take it seriously.
"I'm sorry." Sabi ko na lang at sumimsim sa apple juice ko.
Umiling siya at ngumiti. "Gusto kita, hindi ko na itatanggi 'yon. But if you want out, then I'm not going to force you."
The bright moving point of lights on the sky took my breath away. Huminga ako ng malalim at binitawan ang sparklers na paubos na at nilingon ang mga kasama ko.
It's New Year and everyone is hyped up. I answered video calls from some of my friends and from Tita Carmen's family who's now living in Hawaii. Napahaba ang video call namin nina Tina kaya naman natambakan na ako ng mensahe sa messenger. I opened Chad's message when I saw it.
Chad Ristobal:
Have a blast New Year! I hope we're still good. No hard feelings about it.
He didn't ask the reason why I suddenly wanted out. After our conversation he never texted me again. Ngayon lang at aaminin kong gumaan ang loob ko ro'n. Akala ko ay masama ang loob niya sa pinag-usapan naming at desisyon ko. I typed my reply and sent it to him.

Kasama namin ang mga kamag-anak ni Tito at ilan kong pinsan na nagdiwang ng pasko at bagong taon. It wasn't hard to get along with them so I can say that I enjoyed the break. Tita wanted us to travel even just for days but enrolment is up for me. Nakauwi na rin sina Tina at Cadeo maliban kay Nicus.
I bit my lip while looking at the liptint I'm holding. Kanina pa ako rito sa Watsons pero hindi pa rin ako nakakapili ng bibilhin. Pinagkumpara ko ang dalawang hawak at nang sa wakas ay makapili ay dumiretso ako sa counter.
