We're all heading to Liv's. Where are you?

Louis read his text with a smile stretched across his face. He really couldn't hide it anymore. Under the stadium lights and crisp fall air, he didn't feel the need to hide it anymore either.

I'm still out on the field. Wanna meet me?

Louis sent the text back anxiously hoping Harry would agree.

He didn't hear back from the boy, so he decided to put his phone away and come back to the moment. He sat on the grass under the stars as he stared out at the bleachers.

A few minutes later he heard the rustle of some gaudy footwear. He huffed out a chuckle as he took in the sight of the lanky boy with his equally gaudy sign.

Harry took the seat next to him and laid the poster out in front of them. "So, what I was going for was something like seventeenth-century baroque with a little bit of pizazz." Harry mocked his own artwork.

The poster consisted of Louis' face photoshopped on some old guy in a French painting, a lot of loose glitter, and a title that read: "Prince Louis conquering the Titans 1737"

"Harry, this makes no fucking sense." Louis couldn't lie to the boy.

The pair burst into laughter for what felt like an eternity. "Thank you, baby. It's beautiful. Much better than Niall's piece of work."

Harry blushed at the term of endearment. "That was actually my idea."

Louis looked at his boy with complete admiration in his eyes. "That's brilliant." He praised him for his success in publicly humiliating their friend.

Harry kept his stare on the empty bleachers in front of them with a huge smile stuck on his face. "What were you doing out here?"

"I don't know." Louis reflected on the impulsive decision to sneak back out on the field after everyone had cleared out. "I just wanted to bask in the moment a little longer. First game I won as a captain." He looked to Harry with a vulnerability he only felt comfortable sharing with him.

He looked back to the seats that had just been buzzing with victorious cheering. "This is the first of a lot of lasts this year and I just want to remember it all."

Harry couldn't peel his eyes away from Louis. He nodded to assure him he understood the desire to bask in his glory.

Louis put his varsity jacket over Harry when he noticed Harry trying to create some heat with the friction of his hands. Harry flinched at first, but let the older boy put the piece over him.

"I'm proud of you, Louis." Harry practically mumbled but Louis could still hear it.

Louis had never felt more okay. Harry's skin was almost luminescent under the full moon. His eyes were a vibrant green that Louis felt deserved to shine amongst the stars above them. He was a sight Louis wanted to remember forever.

He put a hand in Harry's hair and wasn't met with resistance. Harry leaned into his touch, bringing their faces closer together. "Thank you." Louis rubbed circles into his head until Harry's eyes started to flutter shut.

They were so close their white breath started to tangle. Louis could feel his heartbeat get quicker as Harry's lips got closer to his.

Suddenly, Harry's head sunk towards the ground as he let out a quick sigh. "I'm sorry." He whispered.

Louis had been inches from tasting the boy again and this hurt in his bones.

"I started seeing someone," Harry admitted, pulling away slowly.
