Louis couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth. There was no way Harry would go for it. He swore they would never get back together and he was technically still with that Reese guy...wasn't he?

He almost immediately regretted the suggestion. Did it come across as selfish?

He meant what he said about trying to be his friend, but the way Harry's face fell like he was disappointed lit a spark in Louis' belly. He had to put it out there. That Harry could still be his...if he wanted to.

He was so silent and Louis had been trying to play it cool like always. Harry took a sip of the drink with a smile pulling at the corners of his lips. Then he slid the milkshake over to Louis.

Louis lit up like a Christmas tree. He knew what his answer was. He couldn't believe he was really coming around. It was too good to be true.

He took a sip and the cold drink somehow had no effect on how warm he was feeling inside. He took the milkshake into his hand and leaned back in his seat. He smiled into his sip as he peered back at his green-eyed beauty.

Harry was blushing hard as Louis kept his gaze on him. Louis couldn't help but giggle at the blushing boy. It reminded him of when they first met and Harry was anything but smooth around him.

Harry chewed at his bottom lip as he watched Louis enjoy their milkshake. Louis knew if he put the beverage down he would want to occupy his lips in another way and it was far too soon for that...right?

"Thought we were going to share that." Harry finally criticized Louis for hogging the sweet treat.

Louis turned his head and lightly chewed at the straw between his lips. He wasn't really drinking it anymore he just had an urge to feel something against his lips. "Feeling particularly thirsty?" Louis cocked an eyebrow.

Harry swallowed hard. Louis expected him to return a witty remark but his face only got brighter. He smiled wide and rolled his eyes so he didn't have to look at Louis anymore. He was nervous.

Louis set the milkshake down and slid it back over to Harry. Usually, he'd rejoice in the fact that he could make this boy break a sweat with just a glance, but right now he just wanted him to feel safe enough to get close to him again.

"How's the musical going?" Louis decided to make conversation.

"Lottie hasn't talked your ear off about it enough yet?" He fiddled with a straw wrapper on the table. He was being modest with Louis and he didn't like it.

"I want to hear about how it's going for you, dummy." He kicked him playfully under the table.

A smile peeked through and revealed that adorable dimple. "'S Good." He smiled wide still staring at his long fingers.

"Yeah?" Louis continued to press.

"Yeah." Harry smiled up at him. "Really good. Everyone's loved their costumes so far. I've had to make a few adjustments but I haven't had to make any replacements. I was surprised to see everyone going along with my choices but they've all been really excited. I don't know. It's stupid, but I feel really good about it." As Harry, opened up to him he could see the shade of green in his eyes turn into a brighter teal color as if there was a light inside him peaking through.

Louis didn't even try to hold back the smile consuming his face as he listened to Harry talk about the things he was passionate about. "I knew they'd love your ideas. You're doing great, baby." The pet name came out so easily when he admired his boy that he hadn't even realized he'd said it.
