Olivia handed Harry his drink and he took it with solemn eyes that wouldn't meet hers.

"What gives?" She caught on immediately to Harry's despondent demeanor.

"I don't know." He shrugged his shoulders and started strolling down the hall with her. "I miss them." He mumbled incoherently.

Olivia stared straight ahead. He waited for her to chime in with her independent can-do attitude but she didn't this time.

"It's been forever. They haven't even tried to fix things with us. I'm starting to think that they're not going to." Their feud had become old news with only a few people adamant about keeping sides. Harry was sure they could makeup and all would be forgotten. If they wanted to.

"Did we expect them to? They don't care about us. That's sort of why we're not friends." She reminded him.

"It's one thing to believe that. It's another to be proven right." Harry had thought about it all weekend. He missed his friends and, as crazy as it sounded, he really missed Louis. "I still think it's early." He shook his head. "They could come around."

"You need to forget about them." Olivia scolded him as they stopped at Niall's locker to wait for him. "I have."

"Really?" Harry folded his arms. "You're telling me you weren't dying to tell your best friend all about your new gentlemen caller." He teased.

"You're my best friend." She assured him. "You and Niall." She turned her face away from him. "I don't need her."

"You know you don't have to be mad at them for me, right?" He didn't want his friends to resent him for keeping their distance this whole time.

"Of course I know that. I also know that what she said crossed a line and not just with you." Harry wasn't sure what line she crossed with Olivia but he figured she'd tell him on her own time.

"Okay." Harry just wanted to drop it now. He missed his friends too much to think about it any longer.

"Hey." Niall squeezed between the two of friends to get to his locker after taking the liberty of sipping Olivia's drink. He made a disgusted face at the coffee drink and then turned to gather his things.

Olivia scoffed, but let it go. "Hey, do you want to work on your English paper tonight?" She asked him.

"Can't." He was bouncing on his heels like he was dancing to a song in his head only he could hear. "I'm running lines with Diana after school." He rubbed his palms together.

"You're going out with Diana?!" Both of his friends asked harmoniously with the same amount of concern in their voices.

"We're running lines." He looked at them suspiciously. "You know...for the musical we're both starring in?" He closed his locker slowly studying his friend's reaction.

It's not like Harry had a problem with Diana dating anyone, he just didn't want his friends creating any more of a rift between them and Anna. He was still hopeful they could all fix things.

"Either way...you two wouldn't have a problem if I did? I mean we're all friends, right?" He lost the pep in his step.

"Of course." Harry corrected his behavior on both of their behalf's. He didn't feel the need to publicize whatever feelings Anna had for Diana so he decided not to tell Niall. "I think we were just caught off guard. Right, Liv?" He chuckled.

"Right." She answered coldly.

Harry wanted to focus his efforts on reading the confusing tension between his two friends, but his attention had shifted to the beautiful boy coming down the hallway.
