Another high-school party. Was it Harry or were these things losing their appeal?
Half the people there were either on the phones or using them to record the party for their followers. This party had no life, and what? Were his friends and peers expecting him to be the life of the party?
Harry had never been comfortable with that role. That role was usually reserved for his date and he was okay with that.
This little get together was filled with people he'd been working with for weeks and they all adored him. Why did he suddenly feel the pressure to make sure they were having fun? And why did it make him not even want to be there anymore?
He was at Louis' house. He hadn't been there since the night he fought with his father. He watched a movie with his family in this room. He was alone with Louis in his room. It felt wrong to be here without him.
"You doing okay?" Reese whispered to him as he nudged him.
"Oh, yeah." Harry was yanked back down to Earth. He was sitting around a coffee table with his friends. Reese, Luke, Olivia, Diana, and Niall had claimed this area for them. "I got lost in thought."
"Yeah, I'm sure you've heard the story about Niall's back mole a hundred times now." Reese jested.
"Try a hundred and one." Harry corrected him. He liked his friends. He even liked his date...if you could call it that. But he couldn't deny parties weren't the same without the four people he was missing.
He wondered if he should fake sick. Like a stomach ache. Maybe Niall would want to go too and they could stay at his place.
"Alright, I for one am done hearing about Niall's hairy back." Olivia interrupted Niall. "I vote we play a game. C'mon, everyone. Fingers up." She ordered.
Harry decided to stay for his friends. He figured this kind of thing was good for him, right.
"Okay, I'll start." Olivia had everyone's attention as she pondered how to start claiming her victims. "Erm...never have I ever...sent a naughty photo!"
Harry was almost positive she had sent some pretty naughty photos before so he couldn't help but shake his head at the fact that she kept all her fingers up. "Okay, but what constitutes 'naughty?'" Harry grinned at the girl with a mischievous look on her faces
"Anything that'd mortify you if your mum found it on your phone." She raised her eyebrows with a knowing look.
Harry put a finger down in shame. Everyone else starting cooing and whistling at him, turning his face a bright red.
The worst part was Louis hadn't even asked him for the photo, Harry had just sent the somewhat revealing photo to the older boy knowing it'd drive him crazy while he was away with family on spring break.
Diana also put a finger down discreetly, hoping nobody would notice. Olivia noticed. "Oh, now we're really getting to know each other."
Diana looked to Harry with a 'rescue me' look but Harry knew this was just the fun of the game. He shrugged his shoulders at her with a goofy grin. She shook her head back at him.
"Okay, Diana." Olivia turned to her signifying it was now her turn to make a statement.
"Oof. Uh." She struggled to come up with something. "Never have I ever..." She looked to Harry and Olivia searching for some form of revenge. "Dated someone on the football team." She smiled.
They both put a finger down with a tight-lipped smile to conceal their protest of her vengeance.
Suddenly, Harry heard a laugh coming from the other room. It was a loud, infectious laugh he could pick out anywhere.
