I startled in my sleep when I hear the door creak open. Light footsteps approached me as quietly as possible. "Chloe," I feel someone gently shake me causing me to grumble and scoot closer to the warmth surrounding my cautious body.

"Chloe, sweetie," I slowly started to recognize the voice calling out to. I hear Liam grumbling in his sleep and move around.

"What-" He can feel him remove himself from and sits up making me whimper from the loss of heat keeping me warm. "Mrs.- Amber, good morning. Is there something you need?"

"Um, yes. I'm afraid your vehicle is blocking me in and I need to get to work. I'm sorry for waking you."

"Oh, I'm sorry. I'll go move it right away." Liam tells her kindly as he climbs out of bed.

"Thank you," I hear both of their footsteps make their way to leave the room. "I didn't know you two were coming to visit. Why the surprise visit."

I hear the bedroom door open then immediately close afterward, I didn't hear Liam respond because it didn't take me long to fall back to sleep

Liam never returned to bed after moving his mustang for my mom. I suspected him to probably be asleep on my couch but he wasn't. I ignored the sad feeling and just took a shower to wash away the long night.

I put my hair in a messy bun, dressed in sweatpants and a hoodie. Probably look like a homeless person but I don't care, I just wanted to dress comfy and didn't want to take time on an outfit. When I made my way downstairs, I spotted Liam sitting on the couch messing around on his phone.

"I told your mom that we will be here when she gets home because she wanted to have dinner with us," Liam looks over at me when he hears me. "Sorry, if you wanted to go back to campus right away," He adds while putting his phone in his pants pocket.

"No, don't be sorry. I actually wanted to see her before we went back." I smiled softly, my belly erupts when his worried facial changes into a smile.

"Good," He bites his bottom lip for a quick second before checking his phone. "Let's go get something, I'm starving."

"Oh, I can just cook us something here," I tell him as I turn to walk towards the kitchen. Liam takes ahold of my wrist before I can go any further.

"I wouldn't mind you cooking for me, babe." He starts pulling to the front door. "But I actually want to take you somewhere." He tells me.

"Where?" I ask him when we're outside.

"Secret," He responds after locking the front door. I grumble and follow him to the mustang.

Liam like he always does, opens the door for me before getting into the driver seats. "Come on Liam, tell me where you're taking me," I beg him.

I roll my eyes when he just backs out of the driveway, not saying a word. He turns up the volume to his radio with a smirk on his face and begins singing along to the familiar song. "Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you, by now you should've somehow realized what you gotta do, I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do, about you now."

A small smile starts to slowly appear on my face as I listen to him sing. "Backbeat, the word was on the street, that the fire in your heart is out, I'm sure you've heard it all before, but you never really had a doubt, I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now."

My cheeks start to heat up when he glances over at me while singing the lyrics. "And all the roads we have to walk are winding, and all the lights that lead us there are blinding, there are many things that I would like to say to you but I don't know how."
