Chapter 14

(Readers POV)

It was time for the second round of matches in the tournament. Me and Yang's match was first. We headed inside the arena and waited for our opponents.

Port: Our match is (Y/N) (L/N) and Yang Xiao Long versus Neon Katt and Flynt Coal.

Ruby: Good luck you two!

I looked over at the crowd and saw Ruby cheering for us.

Yang: Let's not disappoint our team.

(Y/N): Alright.

Two people walked in the arena, one was male and the other was female. One was a Faunus, I could tell because she has an orange tail. The other person was dressed like he was a performer for a night club.

Yang: Hey there.

The arena was changing. One half was a geyser field and the other half was a bunch of ruined buildings.

Neon: Hello. So you two are our opponents? This will be easy.

Yang: That's what you think. Underestimating us is a big mistake.

Neon: Whatever you say, toots.

Yang: What was that?

Neon: I really like your strategy. Dressing like that to distract any boys you will fight. You might want to be carful, you don't want to distract your partner over there.

I started to blush. Like I would ever get distracted by such things.

Yang: This is how I dress normally.

Neon: Oh, so you just try and seduce anyone you see?

Yang started to get mad and her eyes turned red.

Yang: You think I'm some sorta skank?!

Neon: With how top heavy you are, I wouldn't blame anyone coming to that conclusion.

Neon pointed at her chest, saying that Yang had too big of breasts. I guess having a big chest is a bad thing. Women are confusing.

Yang: (Y/N), remember the plan we had?

She seemed at a whole new level of angry. She spoke like she was about to explode but tried to hide her rage.

(Y/N): Stay together and not split up.

Yang: Forget that plan. I'm going to make that cat pay.

Port: Let the match... Begin!

Yang rushed over at Neon. Leaving me with Flynt.

(Y/N): You better watch out. I'm not as short tempered as my partner.

Flynt: I wasn't going to try the anger strategy like my friend.

He pulled out a trumpet. I guess that's his weapon. He blowed in it and sent a sound wave at me. I put my gauntlets in their shield form and blocked. He stopped and I started to run to the side. Flynt tried to hit me with his sound waves, but I was able to dodge them. I ran up to him and was able to hit him. He was knocked into the geyser field and I went to him.

(Yang's POV)

I was trying to hit this cat. I was shooting at her, but she dodged all of my shots.

Yang: Stay still!

Neon: Maybe if you focused on your brain and not your body, you would be able to hit me.

She stuck her tongue out at me. I started to get more mad. I rushed over to her. I tried to punch her, but she just moved away and started to run away.
