you were in my dream last night
you stood there in all your glory
I stood next to you
Frozen but my hand found yours
I laced them together and you tighten your grip around mine
I can feel the sweat slowly forming from our intertwined fingers but you didn't care
You continued to watch the scene unfold
But just like a movie, next scenes are meant to be played
As my dream shifts into a new scenery, a new plot, im forced to move on
But here i am grasping for the remains of you
Trying to go back to sleep, trying to get back to youI finally woke up
Still a bit hazy but one thing's clear,
you are in my dream last night
and maybe its meant to be that way
You are only a good dream
A dream i didnt want to end
A dream i will always try to get to
A dream i will always welcome with open arms
A dream that felt so true, it was deceivingI needed to wake up
Im forced to move on
Even though i would love to repeat my dreams with you as the subject, us as the protagonists
repeated things eventually get boring
and there are so many dreams in the world i am meant to experience
You are a dream, my love
But you are not the only dream out thereAs the scenes change,
i take little steps forward
With every morning i have
I leave you where you are supposed to be
And face the truth that you and i will never be a reality .-g.b
