BLUE
Normal days are back to Northville. Our examination week just ended yesterday, but the hassle is still there. The last week preparation for the upcoming intramurals continued. Everyone is busy practicing and training exhaustively for the upcoming competition. The athletes are covering the school grounds for their daily practices. I also saw the Executive Committee and Student Council officials and members preparing the gymnasium for the upcoming event. Everyone is excited for the grandiose clash of wisdom, talents and prowess.
Do you where I am going today? Or should I say, where we are going today?
Today is the schedule for our photo shoot and that will take place at the nearest resort here in the city. Another waste of time and effort. I must been at my bed today, lying and feeling my rest from last exhausting week, but this photo shoot thing refrained from doing it.
Speaking of we, that’s because I am with this importunate man beside me. He kept on insisting since yesterday that I will join him going to the venue than driving ny own car. God knows, he only wants to have a score on me.
Also, since this morning, I felt something strange with Mr. Gray. Since we got into his car, someone called over his phone. Not just once but twice. The first one, I heard a male voice on the other line and he called that caller “Dad”. So that’s probably the fortunate owner of NSU calling his importunate son. The next one was a feminine voice over the line and he called Freya. But unlike with his father, he’s like being annoyed with that Freya or whoever she is. He can’t even uttered that girl’s name normally.
After that calls, he became silent. He sometimes took a glimpse on me with his anxious eyes while he’s driving. Lately, he was so lively when he met me at my room. I wonder what his dad or Freya told to act him this way.
While we’re heading to the venue, I saw some towering establishments over the area. There were a lot of people down the street. Maybe that’s because today is Saturday. It’s a day for them to relax. Unfortunately, for them only. Not for us or whoever part of this photo shoot thing.
The scent of the sea breeze meets my nose as we gradually approaches a bridge. Couple of nipa huts can be seen on the shore. There were also a lot of people happily splashing to the sea, especially children with their parents or guardians. I also saw some foreigners wearing their board shorts and swimsuits sunbathing, lying under the striking heat of the sun.
A few moments after, a resort is now visible in our front. Some of the candidates were already there. Wait? Some or all of the candidates except me? Nevermind. It’s still 8:52 in the morning and the call time stated on the memorandum is 9:00. That proves that I’m not late. They just arrived earlier than me.
Mr. Gray parked his car along with the vehicles brought by the school. I reached for my gym bag which contains my essentials from the backseat before I opened the door. As soon as I got out, the refreshing breeze from the sea enveloped me. It feels like this is the best refreshment after that exhausting week than staying at my room.
I looked at the other side of the car and saw Mr. Gray putting on his classes. The first three buttons of his floral polo was unbuttoned. The wind has a successful job, making his broad chest visible.
Damn, he looks so hot in this!
At the same, I felt irritated on him for doing that. A lot of people are now staring at him, especially the girls at the shore and of the candidates. I don’t know, but I don’t like it that way.
I put my shades on and approached Mr. Gray. I nudged at his side, getting his attention. He looked so lonely lately, but now, he managed to get all of our attention here with that simple move.
