“He is your brother?”

I stared at Mr. Gray with a widened eyes. Did I heard it right? He and that Maiko Ferrer are brothers? How?

I quickly snatched the papers that he is holding. I took a look at the lower part of the page the he was reading.

Then a realization came to my mind as I read the full name of the one that I am chasing. I knew that I already read this one, but why I didn’t highlighted this information? Am I too tired when I first read these pages?

“Michael Khoby Ferrer-Monteclaro,” I mumbled the name written on the paper.

“Yes. That’s my f*cking brother,” he commented, picking up the box that contains the first threat that I received. “He’s just a mere 8th grader. So stop accusing him with this f*cking stuff that even his older brother can’t do,” he added, opening the small box.

I gasped a deep sigh on what I learned. This Maiko Ferrer is just an eight grader? Who knows? Is it possible for him to run an organization called Genesis? It’s very impossible, but that’s what Valeriano told to me exactly. I can’t be mistaken.

“It’s Crimson University.”

“Ito kasi ‘yon. Ang campus na ‘to ay may samahang tinatawag na Genesis. Balita ko gang daw ‘yon na sumisira ng buhay sa mapipiling biktima nila, lalong-lalo na ang leader nila na si Maiko Ferrer.”

That’s what Valeriano exactly said to me. I can’t forget that. I can clearly recall it in my mind, word for word.

I looked at Mr. Gray who is intently staring at me, narrowing his eyes slightly. He might be wondering how I accused his brother with this kind of stuff.

“But this is what Valeriano said to me,” I uttered, showing him the paper. “He even joined me get this information at Crimson. We can’t be mistaken,” I added, dropping the papers on the bed.

It’s getting complicated right now.

“As I said earlier, my little brother is so young to do this thing. He can’t even stand with a single cockroach at home,” he replied, studying the card that he is holding. That’s the first stuff that I received from Genesis.

If it’s not his brother, then who? Why did Valeriano told me about Maiko Ferrer if this guy has nothing to do with this? Is Valeriano just bluffing and misleading me from the right suspect?

“So if this Maiko Ferrer isn’t the head of all of these, then why did Valeriano told me about that?” I asked, standing from the bed and looked at him.

“I don’t know either. Hindi ko alam kung bakit idinawit ni Valeriano ang aking kapatid,” he answered, scratching his chin.

If Maiko Ferrer isn’t the one who kept on sending these threats on me, then Genesis isn’t real too?

Shit! What’s going on here?

“Then Genesis isn’t real too? There is no a fraternity gang who wants to ruin my life from Crimson?” I slowly asked, looking at the stuffs on the bed.

My eyes were hooked by the black stuff on the flat surface of my bed. It’s the black rose that I found beneath my door and the spare petal on it’s side, which I found on Valeriano’s room. There’s a big certainty on myself that this petal is connected with this black flower. It’s like connecting a part to it’s whole.

Wait— I think I found it! I think I solved it.

“I got it!” I shouted, making this man with me jumped in surprise.
