BLUE
I was so exhausted when I came at my room. I walked heavily towards the couch. That f*cking choreographer tired the whole of me. Why? He’s so demanding! He wanted us to dance like a professional dancer, like what? It’s just for a production number. We’re not going to audition a dance competition, but the steps that he taught us were so out of line.
I was about to put my bag down when I noticed what I am holding. I don’t know where this stuff came from nor who left this at the door. Why do I think about this thing so much? Whatever.
This day is very exhausting! You want to know what happened? Let me take 3 to 4 steps back.
“Mr. Lim!” tawag sa akin ni Mrs. Legazpi. Patay! Baka ipa-guidance ako nito. “Someone is looking for you,” pagpapatuloy niya.
Who’s looking for me? I haven’t set any appointment during this time. I knew that we have a quiz for Mrs. Legazpi, that’s why I wonder who is looking for me.
I quickly stood from my seat and quietly approached the door. As the distance between me and the door became smaller and smaller, I can feel different chills crawling from my nape down to my spine. There’s only one person in this campus who can send me chills like this.
I turned the door knob and saw his tall statue in front of me. His furrowed brows and darting eyes met me. I don’t know what he is up to.
“What do you want from your slave?” I asked, taking a step outside and locked the door.
“What time is it?” he answered with another question, crossing his arms. Who taught him to answer a question with another question?
“Did you just interrupted my class just to ask me about the time?” I retorted, staring at his eyes. “Next time, don’t wear a broken wristwatch,” I added.
I was about to open the door when he grabbed my right shoulder and turned my body in front of him. He’s too strong that I can’t even resist.
“I sent you your practice schedules earlier, remember?” he asked, trying to be calm.
Sh*t! I forgot. I have a practice this afternoon at exactly 1 o'clock. I looked at my wristwatch and it’s already 1:30. I’m 30 minutes late. I gazed at his face that is somehow pissed or worried. I can’t tell.
“Can I not attend the practice this afternoon?” I requested. I can’t proceed to this practice. What if the choreographer is strict. He might punished to run 50 laps or do 100 push-ups. I’m not an athlete that can do such things.
“No!” he disagreed. “You must go to the practice,” he insisted.
“But—”
“Get your bag and I will fetch you there,” he ordered, infiltrating his hands to the pockets of his navy blue pants.
There’s nothing I can do. What Mr. Gray wants, Mr. Gray gets. I quickly entered the room and get my bag. I told Valeriano that I have a practice to attend and asked Mrs. Legazpi for an early goodbye.
The moment I went out from the room, Mr. Gray swiftly grabbed my bag and dragged me to the elevator. He’s gripping my right hand so tightly, making sure that I can’t resist.
“Can you not drag me. I will just go with you orderly. There’s no need of using force,” I begged, shaking my hand from his grip.
“No. You might run away and escape the practice,” replied.
Sh*t! What is he thinking? I’m not a criminal to run away and escape from something. He still holding my hand so tightly like there’s no plan of letting go of it.
