The woman looked down at the two quivering children with a simper.

"It's beautiful day outside," She remarked, staring out the window. "The sun is shining. Birds are chirping. On days like these, kids like you," She looked at them flatly,

"Should be burning in hell."

The little boy held the girls hand. "We want to go home," His little voice shook.

She laughed uproariously. "You want to ho home," She mocked. "Well I want you and your parents to burn you sniveling little rats," She sneered.

"I always hated children."

"I-" The boy gulped. "I'm a big boy. And I'm very scary. And my-my Ms. Denna will come here, and- and she'll hurt you! Because you're a bad person!" He cried.

The little girl nodded. "And my mommy will come and she'll knock you out with her pew-pew machines!" She added fiercely.

"Oh, you stupid, stupid kids," She smiled. "That's what I'm hoping for. So cry. And scream. You know I hear,"

She pulled a knife. "That when they're children are hurt, some parents can feel it," She chuckles. "I don't know if that's true. But it's worth a try."

The little girl shook, but pushed the boy back. "Look you... you witch," she said adamantly. "My name is Joy. And I'm not scared of you!"

"You're not?" The woman gasped.

The girl shook her head definitively. "Uh-uh. ANd you are a very mean lady, and that's the problem when you're by yourself. Because you're mean and old."

The woman looked away. "You mean probably."

The girl sighed. "We just wanna go home. Don't you know everybody wants to go home, mean lady?"

The lady looked down. "Some people don't have a home to go to."

The girl felt sorry for her. "Well- well you're still a witch, so you can't be with me. But... maybe there's a home for you? Somewhere far away? Very far away. With penguins?"

The little boy, pulled her back cautiously. "Joy, she's a bad lady," He whispered

"ama says bad people are really just hurt people who don't know what else to do," She said quietly.

The old lady sighed. "Just be quiet. Stay here, I'll bring you food."

She was going to kill those brats, she decided. Just not yet.

She looked at the two children holding hands. Not yet.
