Lisa followed the boy into the home. It wasn't a mansion but it wasn't small either. It was just that, homey.

The boy smiled opening the door.

"Taehyung," Ruby Jane called from the back of the house. "Take your shoes off, wash your hands!"

"Mom! I brought someone home!"

She groaned. "What did I tell you? My home is not a zoo!" She wiped her hands, coming into the front room, "We haven't recovered from-"

She looked at the tall woman in horror, stumbling back, clutching her chest.

"W-wh-?"

Lisa frowned. "Are you okay, Miss?"

She shrinks away. "Don't touch me! Taehyung, what have you done?"

The boy frowned. "She's hurt Mommy. She needs help."

"No," She breathed. "You get her out of here-no wait-come here." She pulled the child behind her.

Lisa looked away. "I'm sorry. I did not mean to frighten you. I will leave now."

"You do that," She breathed.

"Get out."

Lisa sighed, wincing. "Thank you for your help."

She frowned. Thank you? She would never say thank you. Regardless. Whether she was sick, didn't remember, or just looked like that woman- she wouldn't risk it.

Lisa moves toward the door, until she passed out, the blood from her wounds started spilling on the floor.

The boy looked up at his Mom with tears in his eyes. "Why won't you help her Mommy?"

She looked at him, and to the woman on the floor. Back at the boy and to the woman frantically.

She clenched her jaw, dragging her body into the room.

"Go to your room Taehyung," She intrsucted sternly. "Don't come out until I tell you."

Taehyung did so, scurrying to his room, satisfied his Mom would help the woman.

She looked down at the woman on the couch, unconscious and bleeding. The woman that had hurt her so much. She fiddled with the ring that covered the indelible mark she'd left on her skin.

"I should kill you," She sneered quietly at her sleeping face. "I should take this knife and stab it through your heart, and finish the job."

"You deserve it."

Her eyes fluttered open.

"Don't move," She hissed, putting the knife to her throat. She made no moves to defend herself.

"How did you find us? How aren't you dead? Why are you here?"

"Your son said you could help me," She said quietly. "I have a large wound that causes me pain. I cannot afford a doctor."

She reared back. "What?" She said breathlessly.

Lisa had never been one for tricks. Especially not complicated ones like this.

"If you can help me," She swallowed, the blade moving along her skin as she did, "I will do work for you. I don't have any skills, but I am a fast learner."

"Are you telling me you don't remember?"

She blinked. "Did you know me?"

She swallowed. "What?"

She looked down. "I do not know much of myself. I only know my name is Lisa. And I come from Thailand. I am looking for someone named Jennie."

She held the knife closer to her throat. "Why?"

She winced. "Because she is the only person I remember. I do not know my father or mother. I do not know where I live. I do not know when I was born. I only know her name, and her face."

"You... you look like her. Are you Jennie?"

"No," She pressed the knife closer to her throat, a bead of blood marrying the blade. "My name is Ruby Jane Kim."

She said nothing, frowning. "You look like her," She insisted. "Maybe you are related-"

"Why are you looking for her anyway? To torture her? To kill her? To find amusement in her pain?"

"Because she promised we would get married," She said lowly. "And because I have no one else."
