~LEONA~

" That was when I was high on your beautiful lies and blinded by you but I recovered Dave and now I can see beyond them." I was irate.

" It's not like that Leona." He took a step closer. " We can talk this out okay, just don't go."

" There's nothing to talk about. I want nothing to do with you anymore okay." I didn't care about those who were watching.

Dave got to understand this, it's not about me but his innocent daughter and the family he could make.

I don't want to be an obstacle in anyone's relationship therefore I have to know my place. I have to stay away.

I sighed as despondency consumed me.

It was a mistake sleeping with him. I can't make yet another mistake.

As if the universe were suddenly on my side, a car came to a halt in front of me.

I hurried into it when I saw Dave running to me.

"Where to madam?" The driver asked.

"Just take me away from this place," I begged.

I brought my phone out and turned it on. My hands tapped on Raymond's number and I waited for him to pick.

He picked up almost immediately.

"What on Earth Leona! Where are you and where have you been?" He yelled I could hear my son still crying.

I began to cry as well. How could I think of leaving him?

"Speak up please! And what the hell? What have you been doing Leo? I found a gun in your fucking bag and oh my God.."
He was fuming and breathing loudly, I could hear it through the phone.

"I'm sorry Ray, I wanted to tell you all this, well I still will when I come home okay? I'm sorry."

" Tell me where you are now, I'll come pick you."

" I went to Dave's.." I tried looking around when my eyes landed on the person sitting just next to me with the wickedest and the scariest smirk.

The phone fell from my hand and my lips quivered, my teeth clashed against each other, each heartbeat of mine seemed like my heart had been ripped out of my chest and my eyeballs appeared to be falling out.

I could hear the faint voice of Raymond coming from the phone but I didn't pay heed, I was more concerned about the devil beside me.

I thought of buying more ice cream for Leona so she could eat anytime she wanted it. I didn't know she liked it else I'd gotten it there for her but now I know.

She doesn't really ask me anything so when she asked that, I was really happy to do it.

But I didn't know that she only wanted me out for a reason.

Soon after I arrived, I heard Leonard's cry from inside but I didn't make anything out of it because he normally cries.

I took my time and parked the car before taking the ice cream along.

When I got inside he hadn't stopped crying but it intensified. He was standing at the open back door and crying so much.

I called for Leona but didn't hear anything. Leonard runs to me, crying and pointing to the back door while he mumbled "mama."

I got alarmed, I took him and we searched the entire house but there was no sight of her.

I tried calling her too but she wasn't picking and that drove me crazy along with Leonard's cries.
