~DAVE~"I'd like to have a word with her before you take her, Lando!" I shouted and they stopped walking.
He turned and smirked crookly at me.
"You're pathetic, you know that right?" Lando laughed.
" Just excuse us for a moment."
" Try as hard as you want, Anosova. We all know you've run out of luck for good this time. Nothing you say will change her mind but I can give you another chance to give her your pathetic speech. Who knows, it might just work. Try your luck, buddy even though it looks like you've run out of it.."
I almost thanked him for this mistake he just made.
Lando shouldn't have given his permission so quickly because I won't leave any stone unturned to bring Leona to my side.
I'm going to knock every fear from her and make her see just how powerless Lando is without his guns and men.
He walked to his car and when he was about to get in, he turned to us.
"I forgot to ask the queen if she is okay with talking to you. Pardon me, my lady." He said dramatically and bowed.
I didn't wait for Leona to answer before I pulled her away from him.
I stared at my car and back to her. I feel like lifting her off the ground then straight into my car and then drive away.
But that will be a terrible idea because Leona will go irate while Lando who's watching with hawk-like eyes will just follow up and do something worse.
Neither of them is going to favor me.
"What more lies do you have to say Mr. Anosova." Her voice jerked me back from my silly thoughts.
" Listen Leona.." I stopped when she started shifting on her feet. I looked down and saw that she was barefoot.
I bend and removed my shoes.
"What are you doing?"
"Removing my shoes."
"For what?"
I straightened up and stretched it to her.
She looked down at what she was wearing which was a gown and back to my face then burst into laughter.
Oh, God. I miss that sound.
"Please don't make this whole thing look crazier than it already seems. How can you make me wear your executive shoes on this gown? It won't even fit." She laughed some more.
I looked down at my hand and realized that I wore an executive instead of sneakers I thought I was wearing.
And what was I even thinking? These dress shoes won't fit her.
I looked at her gown once more then back to the shoe in my hand and realized just how ridiculous the combination is.
I couldn't hold back a chuckle either.
"I'll manage." She said after the laughter died down.
"Yes but you don't have to wear them, just put your feet on them. That should help."
" What of you? How will you manage?"
" I have my socks on. And you don't have to worry about me." I put the shoes before her.
She raised her small feet but placed them back down on the ground.
"They look quite expensive, are they not?" She asked and raised her eyes to meet mine.
