Episode 86

LEONA

The door burst open and my heart sank.

This was not what I expected. He was looking so terrible. The suit he wore earlier was torn badly, his eyes were redder than Lando's, and the white shirt he wore looked as if it was dipped in blood. There were splits and cuts on his face and any other place which was not in my view. His knuckles were busted and blood was oozing from his split up lips.

My heart bled, burned, and went out to him. How did this happen?

"Dave," I whispered and though he didn't hear me, his eyes moved to me but he quickly looked away after scanning my body for any scratch I guess.

Slowly I made to get up from the bed but before I could make any real movements, I got elbowed directly in the gut.

"Where the fuck do you think you're going?" He snarled and I fell back to the bed, clutching my stomach as great pain cut through my abdomen.

I saw Dave rush to me but a gun was pulled against his forehead by Lando.

"This is not the time, Dave. Now move back or I shoot!"

"Leave her out of this Suarez. Don't be a coward!"

"You didn't think of her when you were doing shitty things to me! Why do that now?"

"This is between you and me? Leave her the fuck out of this!"

"This was never between you and me! We had our problems and it was gone and I told you times without number to stay the fuck away from my issues and Leona was my issue! You kept interfering and pushing at my deadly buttons despite my warnings but the fuck did you listen? You think you're an alpha, a superhero, and I'm scared. Your mistake!"

"Whatever. Let her go or I'll call the police."

"You're free to!  The fuck I care about those fucking losers" He chuckled and turned his eyes to me.

"Was here last week but you kicked me. Let's see what you can do today too." He smirked and snapped his fingers.

His full entourage appeared from where they've been hiding in all black. An entourage I've been a part of before but I was the only one who wore red among them and that made me the red devil while Lando wore all white. That was how it was when we were going to kill and destroy but things changed, his entourage is now against me.

They grabbed Dave before he could do anything then the door slammed shut.

"I told you I will do this!" He smirked and began to zip himself.

My eyes widened in horror and fear as I moved backward on the bed. My heartbeat escalated and tears stung my eyes as I pulled my knees together and wrapped my hands around them.

"What are you up to, Lando?"  Dave asked and I sensed panic in his voice.

"I don't want to kill the fun! Watch for yourself."

"Don't do this now Lando, you never did this before!" I said to him,

"I'm not virtuous. I even fucked your family and you're the cause. If only you listened to me and came with me. You followed this loser, forgetting the dire consequences."

"What? You didn't do that!" I'm beyond shocked.

"I did. You can ask your lover." He pointed to Dave who was still battling with the multiple men that held him captive.

He didn't meet my eyes and regret, guilt, and sorrow washed over me.

So this was the message I read on his phone and I asked him but he refused to say a word. He knew all along what Lando has been doing to my family and yet he didn't breathe a word about it to me. How could he?
