Episode 95

LEONA

"Leona."

My heart dropped and I turned, expecting to see his harsh blue eyes on me but they were closed with a little frown on his face.

I walked out of the room in relief and gently closed the door behind me. I have no idea how I'd be getting out of this big house. I walked straight down the hall and I was relieved when I saw the stairs. I ran down on it hastily and almost ran into someone.

"Leo it's you. Where are you going?" Kim asked and my pulse quickened. She ran her eyes on me. "You look like someone who's sneaking out."

My heart skipped a beat.

Was it necessary to see her now?

My heart drummed as I thought of something to say.

"I'm just going to get some water." I lied and prayed she left.

"Here." He presented a jug of water to me with a smile.

"Thanks." I smiled and turned to go upstairs with the water.

"I really will love it if we talk, Leo. I'm sorry for your loss anyway."

"Let's talk tomorrow Kim. Good night." I hope I didn't sound harsh.

"Yes, Goodnight." She yawned and turned in the opposite direction.

I watched her disappear before taking the stairs back down then put the jug of water into the kitchen.

I scurried out of the door and whimpered when the cold breeze hit my skin.

All the security guards watching over the house were busy snoring in every corner which I am very happy about but I pray there aren't any cameras around.

I held my breath as I tiptoed past sleeping guards. I opened the iron gate slowly and released my breath when I stepped out.

I could've taken Dave's car but he'd know and inform the police which I don't want.

I turned Lando's phone on and typed in the password.

Don't be surprised. I've worked for him before and he's given me this particular phone before to do some work so yeah. I already disabled all the possible trackers on it yesterday.

I smiled when I saw just what I wanted. Lando has an important transaction to make today and he's expecting someone. It could be me.

I can't wait.

I just wish I had a gun right now.

Looking around me, I took to my heels and only stood at a filling station when I saw a motor rider going to fuel his bike.

Maybe It's not a bad thing to belong in a gang after all. I thought when I successfully snatched the bike and was riding on it at the topmost speed.

DAVE

I watched from a distance as my Leona attacked the innocent man and snatched his bike from him.

She drove away crazily without looking back and I followed her.

Leona is something else.

I slept on her like that for a reason so when she rolled me over I was awake. She's heartless sometimes and stubborn all the time. After telling her to stay away from Lando and let the police do their work, she still snuck out on me and ran off with someone's bike.

Seeing her getting brutal with Lando yesterday threw me off balance and I still haven't recovered from that and now she almost killed someone for his bike.
