~LEONA~

I hope I'm not hallucinating because I can't picture Yolando at some lingerie shop. What will he be doing here anyway? If Yolando is around, then it will be because of me alone. He won't while away his precious time at this place.

Besides the cologne wasn't made for just Yolando, others can also use it even Kathie.

I wish I could go and sniff her just to clear my doubts but I can't. She'll think I'm crazy.

I stopped a taxi and once I got in, Raymond texted me their location. I'm not conversant with the route here in New Jersey so I gave the driver the address.

I tried calling the only contact on my list apart from Raymond but it was busy. I tried it again but the same. I texted him and placed my phone back into the purse.

I wish my life wasn't this boring; no friends, no family except for Raymond and Leonard whose father I am yet to find. As if that was not enough, I have to deal with Yolando and worry about where he's holding my family captive.

Once again I wish my life wasn't such a mess. I wish I didn't have to be the girl everyone had so much hope in.

I wish to be the girl who has so many decent friends with a handsome boyfriend who's going to support me in all my endeavors and be my anchor.

I wish to be working now and supporting my family like how it was planned. I would gladly take care of them and support them. I would be what my father has always dreamed of and the role model to my half-siblings.

"Madam we're here." The driver announced and I looked out to see that we were in front of a children mall.

I paid and got out with my stuff. I was about to get in when I saw Raymond coming with Leonard high on his shoulders.

"You came late, we were just leaving," Raymond said when he got to me.

" Oh okay. "

We got back into the car and drove home.

The rest of the day wasn't much eventful. I didn't hear from Dave and I don't know if I should go to work tomorrow.

I still don't know why he hasn't called. I'd try not to miss him that much.

The next day was Monday and I saw myself getting ready for work.

Raymond dropped me off as usual and I walked into the big company through the hall.

"Hi Dora," I greeted cheerfully.

"Hi, Leona." She said and concentrated on her work.

I grabbed a cup of coffee from the canteen before going to my office. The day went on smoothly and I was able to resist the urge to call Dave or go to his office.

Some hours after lunch, I received some documents from Dave's personal secretary telling me that Dave said I should go home and work on it.

"Do I have to go now?" I asked.

"Yes, Ms. Grande. He said now." She replied.

I dropped the call, parked the documents into a file then walked out of the company. It was almost closing time anyway.

I called Raymond and told him that I'll be home early today.

I stopped a taxi and got in when I got to the roadside.

"Nelli street 27." I gave him the address and relaxed in the car.

I wonder why Dave didn't call me personally but chose to deliver his message through someone else. I tried calling him again but it was unreachable. I even went through the trouble to get some undies that I thought he'd like but here he was busy avoiding me.
