The Origin of Fluid Man and Water Witch

Before he was an Impossible, Fluid Man went by the name Floyd Watterson, he came from a long line of deep sea divers. One day, while on a solo dive, he bumped into a mermaid with medeum length blonde hair, oval glasses, a blue dress, and a blue tail. After getting over the surprise, they swim to the surface to talk.

Flo: Hi, I'm Flo Watson.

Floyd: I'm... Floyd Watterson.

Flo: You must be put off guard by the tail. I'm actually not really a mermaid, I just turn into one when I'm in the water. I have no control over it.

Floyd: That's actually really cool...

Flo: You're so sweet.

Over the next few months, the two saw each other more and more. The more time they spend together, the fonder they became of each other. They fell for each other, but were too shy to tell each other. One night, they were walking on the beach and settled down to watch the ocean, unaware they were under a pipe.

Floyd: *takes a deep breath and gulps nervously* Hey, Flo?

Flo: Yes, Floyd?

Floyd: I wanted to tell you that I like you... I mean, I really like you, as in more than a friend... I get it if you don't feel the same way about me, I just wanted to get it off my chest.

Flo: *lift his chin up so he's looking at her* I really like you too. Your funny and sweet. I've felt like that for a while, I was just too shy to tell you.

The teens are unaware of the disaster lurking above them.

Floyd: *blushing* Would you like to go out with me?

Flo: *blushing as well* Of course!

They hold hands and stare into each other's eyes. Suddenly, the pipe above them bursts, dumping toxic waste on them. At first, they yelped in surprise, but that turns to screams of agony as the toxic waste starts to burn. Their skin feels like it's burning off. Their screams caught Floyd's parents attention. By the time they got to the teens, they had passed out. They get the kids to the hospital as soon as possible. Floyd wakes up first.

Floyd: *groans* Wha... What happened? *Remembers what happened on the beach* Flo!

He sees her in the bad next to him, she's still out cold.

Floyd: Flo! Are you- *he tries to get up, but everything hurts and he falls back to his bed with a cry of pain* Everything hurts...

He hears a soft groan from Flos' bed. He looks and sees she's coming to.

Flo: *flickers her eyes open* Wha... What happened? Where am I?

Floyd: We're in the hospital. We got toxic waste dumped on us... Are you ok?

Flo: *looks at her skin* Strange... I felt like my skin was burning off, but... We don't have any burns... To answer your question, I'm ok, just a little tender. Are you ok?

Floyd: Yeah, just a little sore. *He looks at his skin, too* You're right, we should have burns, at least... But, we don't...

Carlton (Coil Man): You two aren't the only ones.

The couple look and see they're sharing the room with two other boys. A chubby boy with a blonde bob cut and a scrawny boy with ginger hair that covers his eyes.

Flo: Oh, my Luna! I didn't know you two were even here!

Milton (Multi Man): It's ok, we're just glad you're ok.

Carlton: You two were out for a while. I'm Carlton Springfield.

Milton: I'm Milton Copernicus.

Flo: I'm Flo Watson.

Floyd: I'm Floyd Watterson. You mind telling us what happened to you guys?

Carlton: I got electrocuted on my bed. My family owns a mattress store. I use to like to jump on my bed, even though my dad doesn't like it when I do.

Milton: I got electrocuted through my new calculator while I was doing homework. I'm a bit of a math wiz. We don't have any visible injuries from our accidents either.

The couple tell them what happened to them on the beach. Over the next few days, the four teens became close friends. One day, a man with white hair came to visit them. He's a bit to the point, but he seems to care about them.

Big D: Kids, my name is Big D. I need to talk to you four about your accidents.

Floyd: *sitting on Flos' bed, his hand on top of hers* What do you mean?

Big D: It seems that your accidents were more than accidents. Your molecular structures have been altered.

Flo: *cocking her head* Quelle?

Big D: Simply put, it means you four have powers now. Flo, you have Hydrokinesis and Ice and Snow magic. Floyd, you can turn your body to fluid and control your liquid form. Carlton, your body can turn to spring. Milton, you have the ability to multiply yourself.

Carlton: This... Is a lot to take in...

Floyd: You mean... We're like superheroes, now?

Big D: Funny that you say it like that.

He tells them he works for an organization and that he wants to recruit them. The teens form a superhero team that has a cover of a band they call The Impossibles. They make a great team and Floyd, now going by Fluid, and Flo only get closer and closer as time goes on.
