(y/n) was wondering around with Nora, the Lone Survivor, through the Wasteland. By now, the typically kind-hearted (h/c) had a reputation with the Raiders, Smugglers, and Slavers, they called her the Grim Reaper of the Wasteland due to a mechanical sythe that's also a gun she carried with her. The two girls find an abandoned pre-war school. There's a group of Raiders that they make quick work of. When they make it inside, they find a horrifying site, cages with what looked like the skeleton of children. (Y/n) had always had very strong maternal instincts and this sight horrified and infuriated her. On a top floor, they find a couple of Raiders and a little girl with black hair and geta sandals. The little one is curled up in a ball, frightened about the horrible men learing at her. Nora looks at her (h/c) friend and sees a look of unrelenting fury, she knows that her Mama Bear instincts have kicked in. Wordlessly, (Y/n) stormed over, taking her mechanical sythe off her back. The Raiders see her and nearly pee their pants.
Raider: It's her!
She quickly takes them out with her sythe, then turns her attention to the girl.
(Y/n): Are you ok, sweetheart?
Sachi: I'm ok.
(Y/n): *as she gently picks her up* What's you name, little one?
Sachi: I'm Sachi.
(Y/n): I'm (y/n). This is my friend, Nora.
Nora waves with a kind smile. The two women took her to their camp, where Dogmeat, a rottweiler, came to greet them. He saw the newcomer and sniffed her, curiously. He decided that he liked her and licked her while wagging his tail. (Y/n) and Nora leave Sachi at the sanctuary with Dogmeat protecting her. While exploring a cave, they find some Raiders beating up a guy that was (y/n)'s age. Again, she approaches the Raiders while drawing her infamous weapon and makes good her nickname. Once she's done, she tends to the boy.
(Y/n): Hey, come on, stay focused.
Joe: I'm... Trying...
(Y/n): *as she's bandaging his injuries* I'm (y/n). What's yours?
Joe: I'm Joe Yabuki. *He stares at her holstered weapon* So, you're the dreaded Grim Reaper of the Wasteland? Those guys were talking about you like you were some sort of monster.
(Y/n): Only to people like them, on normal occasions, I'm nice. But... In this world, it's kill or be killed.
Joe: I noticed...
(Y/n): Thank Luna, we saved that little girl before those Raiders did something terrible to her.
Joe: Little girl? Black hair, geta sandals?
(Y/n): Yes. You know her?
Joe: She's one of the kids I use to hang out with before all this.
After getting him patched up, she helps him walk to the sanctuary. As soon as she saw him, Sachi hugs him, causing him to flinch, but he hugs her back. (Y/n) takes care of him as he recovers. He finds out that she's kind and patient, he feels calmer around her. It's easy to see that they really liked each other. Sachi, who's been by her brother's side as he recovers, notices this. After he recovers fully, he and (Y/n) started going out. Everyone thought it was adorable when they started cuddling.
