Fluid Man was underwater in the sea when he heard a soft, melodic voice singing.
(Y/n): 🎵Cold palace walls and endless empty halls. Haunted by echoes of laughter.🎵
Fluid Man: Gallopin Seahorses... I've never heard a voice like that before. I wonder who it belongs to...
He swims in the direction of the voice. He finds a mermaid with (h/l) (h/c) hair and a (f/c) tail. She's singing to some Snorks. Casey is snuggling Allstar, Tooter is staring up at her like a kid, Occy is as close to her as he can get, even Corky is paying full attention. No one noticed the Impossible yet.
(Y/n): 🎵You gave a pull *she makes a gentle 'come' motion with her hand, Occy happily comes* and suddenly, they're full. You've thrown the gates open after you. And swept in with the throng, comes this wonderful song. *She opens her hand so Occy could get on it* My little reason why, I'll never make you cry. I've got the sweetest things to tell you everyday. *Occy starts to play on her index finger* My little reason why, you make me want to try, loving you.🎵
Fluid Man's completely transfixed by her voice, he's been in a trance the whole time. Occy notices him by now and goes over, barking happily, to meet him. He licks Flueys' cheek, braking him out of his trance.
Allstar: Hi, I'm Allstar. *Points at the happy little octopus* That's Occy, looks like he likes you. Who are you?
Fluid Man: *gently petting Occy with his finger* I'm Fluid Man, but my friends call me Fluey.
Casey: Hello, Fluey. I'm Casey, it's nice to meet you.
Corky: Corky at your service. *Points at Tooter, who happily waves* This is Tooter, he can't really talk. *Tooter shrugs, smiling*
By now, the mermaid has come over. She's smiling at him and flicking her fin to stay aloft.
(Y/n): Hello there, I'm (y/n). It's nice to meet you. I think I should tell you, I'm not actually a mermaid, I just turn into one when I'm underwater.
Fluid Man: *blushing* Oh, that's really cool.
(Y/n): *blushing as well* Thanks, that's really sweet of you to say.
The Snorks notice the blushing and exchange looks then start smiling when they realize that they like each other. Occy's just happily looking from one to the other. After a while of talking, the Snorks went back to Snorkland before dark. Fluid Man and (y/n) swim to shore, still talking.
Fluid Man: So, (y/n)...
(Y/n): Yes?
Fluid Man: *takes a deep breath and gulps nervously* I was wondering if you'd like to g-go out sometime?
(Y/n): *excitedly* Yes! *blushing* I mean, I'd love to.
She pecks his cheek and swims off to go home. Fluid Man puts his hand on the cheek and starts blushing again. A dreamy smile creeps on his face.
Fluid Man: *to himself* She digs me... She digs me... *Shoots into the air in excitedly* She digs me!
He lands as his friends show up, having been alerted to his location by his shout.
Coil Man: There you are, Fluey.
Multi Man: We were wondering where you went to.
Coil Man: *smiling, knowingly* Judging by that little display, you've had a great day.
Fluid Man: *dreamily* I just met the grooviest girl.
He tells his friends about the Snorks and (y/n). Multi and Coily could tell he had it bad for her. Over time, Fluey and (y/n) went out a lot. They were practically inseperable.
