Floyd Watterson went to his next class, it was one of the few classes he didn't share with his friends, Carlton Springfield and Milton Copernicus. He kept his head down to avoid the judging stares of the other students. They all saw him as a slacker when that wasn't true, he worked just as hard as anyone. He gets his stuff out of his backpack to get ready for class. The teacher, Mr Radley Crowne, stood up in front of the class.
Mr Crowne: Class, we have a new student today. Please, give a warm welcome to Flo Watson.
A beautiful girl with medium length blonde hair, blue eyes behind oval glasses, freckles splayed across her face, and red lips walked in and stands in front of the class holding a book in her arms. She smiles shyly and waves, Floyd's smitten with her the moment he lays eyes on her. The teacher directs her to a seat in front. Over time, it became clear that Flo was a very kind young woman. when their eyes met, she would smile and wave and he'd wave back, blushing like mad. One day, they were partnering up for a project. When Mr Crowne called Floyd's name, no one raised their hand, he slid down in his chair in embarrassment, he wanted to cry. Then, a soft voice spoke up.
Flo: I will.
Floyd looks up, Flo has her hand up and she stands up for good measure. Everyone looks at her in amazement, the teacher gives her a kind, thankful smile, he knows that Floyd's a hard worker and is thankful at her for giving him a chance. Floyd looks at her in surprise, blushing at the thought that his crush was willing to be partners with him. They meet at his house after school, they socialize as they work. He tells her puns and, to his surprise, she laughs at them. After they hand in their project, getting an A+ on it, he works up the nerve to ask her out.
Floyd: Say, Flo?
Flo: Yes?
Floyd: I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me?
Flo: Sure, I'd love to.
Floyd: I thought, maybe we could go Scuba Diving, I know this great spot.
Flo: That sounds like fun.
She kisses his cheek, leaving him frozen and almost melting into a puddle.
