Jinx Malloy x reader: When Bad Luck Meets Good Luck

Jinx Malloy went to Pop's diner to get a milkshake. He was looking for somewhere to sit when he hears someone call his name.

Archie: Hey, Jinx, over here!

Jinx looks to see Archie waving him over, he's sitting with Betty and Veronica, as expected, but there was a girl Jinx hadn't seen before. She was very pretty, (h/l) (h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes, and a kind smile. Jinx was smitten with her, he was also excited because someone actually wanted to sit with him. He sits down, staring at the new girl in wonder.

Archie: This is (y/n), she's new in town.

Jinx: *blushing* It's nice to meet you, I'm Jinx Malloy.

(Y/n): *shyly* It's nice to meet you, too.

Jinx gets excited that someone wanted to talk to him that he just started talking, a lot and quickly. (Y/n) is smiling at how adorable his excitement is. Jinx didn't realize what was going on around him, until,

Archie: Uh, Jinx.

Jinx stops chattering and looks around him. Everyone, except him and (y/n) were covered in food and drinks. (Y/n) looked around in confusion, amazingly, she was spotless. Archie was giving Jinx an amused smile, Betty was giving him a kind smile that said 'it's not your fault', and Veronica was messing with her hair.

Veronica: Oh, I just got my hair done.

She wasn't complaining at him, she wasn't even looking at him. Jinx's face turned red in embarrassment and stood up, gave a quiet apology, and took off, clearly upset.

(Y/n): Jinx, wait! *Quiet, sympathetic sigh* I'll go after him.

She wonders around town until she hears soft crying from the beach. She found him curled up in a ball under the pier. She goes up to him a gently puts her hand on his shoulder.

(Y/n): Hey, are you ok?

He looks up at her with sad puppy dog eyes.

Jinx: *as he buries his face in his hands* Ugh, I'm such an idiot...

(Y/n): *cocks her head* What do you mean by that?

He tells her that he was a walking Bad Luck charm and, usually, everyone went out of their way to avoid him. It's obviously hurting him to tell her, like he was scared she'd abandon him. Instead, she hugs him and tells him her secret.

(Y/n): I'm a walking Good Luck charm. I don't really have friends, they just use my Aura to benefit them and then leave me when they're done.

They sit there for a while, listening to the sound of the waves. From then on, they were nearly inseparable. Jinx, with a little encouragement from Archie, asked her out, she responded with a tender kiss on the cheek, making the boy flush.
